Joshua is going to look very limited there when Wlad outboxes him. He is just big hypejob and if you want to make some cash now its good time to bet for Wlads win.

Wlad is 6 years older and way slower than he was in the Haye fight though. I hope you're right, but I think AJ will win.

Joshua needs one chance to step inside and throw the Uppercut while Wlad is trying to get a hold. Game over.

Nah Joshua can get countered by Wlads left hook. Its very hard to land anything big to current Wlad.

Either Wlads lets his hands go in the beginning or fights very carefully and throws like 10 punches a round.

AJ can easily land big shots on Wlad if he throws, so no, this isn't as easy as Wlad vs. Haye.

AJ is a "hype job" whether he wins, loses or draws.
I mean, he's going to have to do a lot more than defeat an ancient Wladmir (who has all sorts of question marks over him) to justify the massive hype he's already received.

It's a very risky fight because we don't know for sure that Wladimir will prove to be a completely "shot" fighter, he might still have something serious left in him. This fight might be Wlad's defining moment.

AJ definitely should not be looking past Wladimir but the truth is he will need to beat some legit HWs of a more recent generation to erase the suspicion that he's a hype job.

    Like who?

Wilder? Then Wilder is accused of being all hype...

Haye? Too old, too smaller Wlad beat him in prime

Fury? No motivation..Wlad version would UD him..

Just admit that you don't like him. If you don't like a fighter you will never give them credit...

I'm not sold on AJ but no better opponent you can face than Wlad so he gets credit if he wins for me

Don't know about hypejob. I think he definitely has potential, and a lot of room to grow.
For now however, he is still too green for Wlad.

Wlad has the edge with his experience, monster jab, and superior movement.
How does AJ deal with the jab? How does he handle rounds 8 to 12 having not even been past 7?

Wlad is shot. His fight against Jennings was the tell tale sign that he is done as an elite fighter. 41, long period of inactivity, depressed wife and trouble at home...all while fighting in his opponents backyard.

Plus AJ is no hypejob (nor is Haye really, he is just extremely careful).

Like I said, question marks will remain over AJ if he beats Wlad.
Question marks that would be erased if he went on to beat some of the younger generation of boxers. It's not complicated. Wladimir's been a professional for 21 years, he's 41 years old, he lost his last fight and that was about 17 months ago, he didn't exactly look good in his last win, and that was 2 years ago !

I think most people question Tyson Fury's quality a fair bit based on the fact that Wladimir was old when Fury defeated him. That's fair enough.
I certainly think Fury has some question marks left hanging on him for that reason too, but for AJ beating an OLDER, inactive Wlad (who hasn't done anything since that defeat to Fury) he'll have much greater scepticism applied to the win, quite rightly.

Boxing history shows that veteran champions who have been around for years often lose to ordinary fighters when they get old.
If AJ beats Joseph Parker and Deontay Wilder or anyone highly-ranked who looks fresh and in decent form, no one can say he's hype job. They may not be great fighters either but they are currently relevant.
I'm not saying Wlad's the wrong opponent or doesn't still deserve to be rated, I'm just pointing out he is old, hasn't fought for a while and he might be shot. That's just common sense.

the haye fight was cringeworthy and, frankly, embarrassing. i think joshua has a good chance here but as long as he actually tries the fight will rate higher than the haye fight even if he loses.

Absolutly correct..Wlad is still better than anyone Joshua will face for any foreseeable future or current time period of the NOW,or could face at present. The age old PROVE it...is ridiculous by double standards of other eras..Aj doesnt even have 20 fights under him ,ppl need to geta grip. lmao

Let's be clear here. AJ's last few fights have not prepared him well for Wlad that could expose him to some problems if he's not ready. Boxing isn't kind to losers, if he gets knocked out he'll be called a hype job. At the same time, Wlad probably can't judge too well what he has left in the tank and what AJ's level really is at. It's quite possible Wlad had one more good performance left in him. I'm still going with the young gun, just that there's rarely any second chances in boxing.

If I had to bet I'd actually go with Wladimir to win still. He might have something left and AJ is still only a novice really. AJ has never been past teh 7th rounds.
But it's a fact that Wladimir is an old man and if AJ beats him it will be leave question marks. The hype will still outweigh the substance.

That may sound unfair to AJ but that's just the way it is.
Lots of great champions have suffered the same scepticism when they beat old men, I don't see why AJ should be treated any differently.
If he really is a great fighter he'll have plenty of time and opportunity to prove himself against other fighters anyway.

I have a feeling Wlad will make him look limited. Wlad is a superior boxer. That doesn't meen I agree your comparison about Haye. Wlad vs. Haye was very technical battle where Wlad had the most advantages on his side (reach, size, strenght), won clear UD but did not outbox Haye. Haye gave Wlad his hardest fight in the last 10 years.
