I don't believe Wilder wins but I agree, Wilder can punch, so he has a punchers chance. He is technically poor though in my opinion and I believe that will cost him.

Juishua never won olympic gold. He lost 3 fights and clearly his first fight.

I always picture this fight going one of two ways.

1 - Joshua wipes him out in a similar manner to the Charles Martin fight, it’s an embarrassment and a total let down of a super fight. Total mismatch.

2 - Wilder KO’s Joshua early in a total freak show of a fight. Just a psychopathic, windmilling blitz from the start. All boxing conventions just straight outta the window.

I have tried to envision other outcomes, based on what we know about each fighters skills/weaknesses, but these are the two scenarios that just keep dominating my thoughts.

Jason Gavern said Joshua hit harder.

He said even with 16oz gloves he hit harder.

Honestly don't know how anyone can't see this even without other fighters statements...just look at the fights. Smh

This. Joshua's power is decent, but he's far from being a big puncher. He landed a ton of flush uppercuts on Parker and didn't even budge him.

Joshua also hasn't fought a major puncher like Wilder yet, since Wlad's power in 2017 wasn't what it was 7-10 years ago.

Also, Joshua seems to have a very suspect chin, since one right hand from Wlad dropped him. Sam Peter ate those same straight right hands all night from Wlad in his prime.

Joshua is also wide open for straight right hands and short right uppercuts. Hopefully Joshua's team fix those holes in his defense before he fights Wilder or Povetkin, since they'll take advantage all night.

AJ could not blitz cream puff Takam, the "silent agreement" scrub Parker or the glass chinned Grandpa WK......talking about blitzed, two ham and eggers in Sanders and Brewster truly blitzed a PRIME WK not the Methusalem shot to bits version.

AJ will try to fight a tactical fight a la jab and grab executed by his mentor WK, bank on it, no way no how is he coming out guns blazing.

Wilder is easily the most dangerous Heavyweight on the planet.....he looks easy to beat from the outside but once you enter the Ring with him things change dramatically. He is unpredictable , carries legitimate instant fight ending power in both hands, awkward with a excellent engine, never gassed and last but not least way under rated Ring IQ an a way under rated chin.

If the ghost of WK can land a right hand on AJ, a punch he is most open for so will Wilder except Wilder will not let him off the hook.

You're wrong. I believe this fight will get made next and it will have unbelievable hype around it. Then on Fight Night, like most Superfights in Boxing it will disappoint badly. Both care about their health and both as much as they may not talk like it, will pay massive respect to eachother's power. It will be exactly like one of Klitschko's Fights, probably like Fury v Klitschko. AJ wins on Points if it's in the UK and Wilder if in the US...Remember this, the fight will disappoint massively

Fair enough. You could be right, I have considered this out come myself - however, allow me to explain why I see this being less likely.

1 - I think people are misinterpreting Joshua’s fight against Parker. If there was ever a fight to be safety-first in, it’s the Parker fight. The Wilder/Joshua hype had grown massively before the Parker fight, so a lot was riding on it - plus the extra title. Furthermore to that, Parker is known for fast hands, good upper body movement, solid chin and decent power - so cumulatively it made no sense whatsoever for Joshua to be reckless. It also allowed him to answer some of the questions about his stamina, not only to the critics but to himself. He boxed smart and correct for the circumstances - I don’t think it’s indicative of any future passivity.

2 - it makes zero sense to be cautious or tentative with Wilder. That plays into his hands. If you are passive you give him space, and he WILL find that right hand eventually. The only people that have had success with Wilder is those that have tried bullying him (Ortiz, Washington with the power jab and size, Szpilka to a degree with his head movement and forward pressure) and Joshua will want to bully him with the extra size and weight he possesses. So Joshua will be looking to impose himself on Wilder in this fight at some point, and likely early.

3 - from Wilders perspective, he doesn’t want it going to the scorecards. From his own ego point of view, from fear of bias etc etc he will be looking for the KO. He has been outboxed in many fights and used the KO as a get out jail card. There’s no way he will be looking to go the full 12 especially if it’s at Wembley. I think he probably knows that Joshua will realistically be the superior boxer also.

This is why I keep thinking it’s either gonna be a walkover akin to Joshua/Martin or Lewis/Grant, or a total freak show of sheer aggression and wildness from Wilder straight out of the gates to really shock the more methodical Joshua.

Yep! It could wind up looking like an easy fight for either guy if one of them can find the mark out of the gate. Or it could be an extremely difficult fight for both.
