To be fair Wilder doesnt need assistance to look like a fool, just put a microphone infront of him and the job is done.
When I say he looks the part I'm saying that he's American, he's huge, he's unbeaten and he's mouthy as ****. In short he has all the ingredients needed to market the fight, regardless of how you assess his physique, record etc.
So who they gonna pick as mandatory next week? Rivas? Ill tell you who, anyone but the #1 ranked contender whose defended the Silver belt 5 times. Maybe itll be Stiverne again.
It will be Ortiz or Kownacki most likely, currently ranked 3rd and 5th. Both Haymon heavies, both based in the US which of course the WBC favours. Won't be Whyte, won't be Fury who are ranked 1 and 2. But maybe I'm wrong and WBC will mandate Whyte for a mandatory. Hearn and Whyte have made an appeal to the WBC for his mandatory status so we'll here soon if Whyte gets made mandatory or not. But even if his appeal is successful I think Whyte will be mandated to fight Ortiz or Kownacki to earn that mandatory shot.
Um a 50-70% Fury boxed the ears of Wilder and if it wasn't for those hip pocket judges the rightful WBC champ would be defending now..
They also promised a rematch and they are now ducking eachother conveniently. So yes, they and their fans both look very stupid.
Don't know about Hrygovich.. he looked brilliant in "World Boxing" seemed a tad lazy and hesitant since he turned pro, all be it with flashes of brilliance.
Let's be honest here, Wilder, apart from the huge right hand fights like a drunken bum in a saturday night bar fight, & Fury barely survived him unyet these 2 are supposed to be 2 parts of a golden trio in the division. Joshua's the best of a bad/terrible bunch.
