Joshua is the most intimidating fighter since, if not even more intimidating than, SONNY LISTON

Fury complete shut Wladimir down with his footwork. He never allowed Wlad to get set and in range. Of course Wlad looked far better against AJ. That's because AJ isn't a boxer like Fury.

I agree, Wlad wasn't shot against AJ. But he was past his prime. You say "barely past prime", I'd say it a bit more clearly than that - he was definitely clear past his prime. But either way, the point is, AJ barely won the fight. He struggled badly and barely escaped being KO'd. Therefore it makes sense to reckon a prime Wlad would have that extra bit to tip the fight firmly his way.

In my lifetime there was a period of time when Tyson was the King of intimidation, he would frightened me watching him on TV when he'd go eyeball to eyeball with somebody.

That was an aura, that was real intimidation, Tyson won fights before a punch was thrown.

I'm sure there were plenty before but I haven't seen anything like Tyson since.

Bollocks, Klitsckho was in great shape and put on a helluva performance. He would have beaten any other fighter that night. You need to accept Joshua in his 19th fight KO`d an ATG. fact.

I dunno was he ever fast anyway,I’ll be honest I was never a fan of Wlad and jab n hold tactics, that and his immense size won him fights but it was awful to watch.
I’m not here to say he was Ali reincarnated but I think why everyone was buzzing over that fight is that Wlad came to win, didn’t hold and went toe to toe with AJ.

I’ll admit I’m a Joshua fan but I do see his limitations and recently his A side BS and superior race stuff is fast turning me off him but I said this long ago about him that what if AJ just proves to be good for everyone, way to go I know but if he beats Parker,Wilder and Furey then I just think it’ll be time for his detractors to come out and say “hey he was too good” and put away the bum comments for good.
Last point, let’s not forget that Wlad and Lennox, two great Heavyweights lost earlier on in their careers and yet we still hold em in esteem, the Floyd Mayweather effect of having no losses has effected boxing and its fans for the worse imo as it’s now gotten to the point where one loss and you’re a bum,get hit and you’re bum.....you can see that right?

    Thank you my point exactly.
Fans will always have their opinions but in the end does it matter what Joe Shmo thinks cause to be sure Joshua made many fans that night and gained the respect of Journalists and more importantly ex pros inc Mayweather of all people, surely they would have a bit more of an idea than Joe Shmo right?

Something Joshua himself has said I believe.
Personally I’m not entirely sure mainly down to size but for sure all the modern Heavyweights Barr Wilder all accept that The young Tyson would have beat of em,Furey included which is nice as it shows some respect and how highly thought of Mike Tyson is,power skill he did have it all for such a small man.

Fair point and I don’t think he’s as feared as Wilder either,Dillian Whyte KO was a scary one but by and large with AJ it’s usually the Ref jumping in and sometimes to soon imo.

Prime Wlad would of shut him down as that’s how he fought under Emanuel, without being too clued up it all after Wlads losses I believe Manuel learnt him to jab n hold and only throw if there was an opening and it was clear against Furey that he just didn’t have a clue, some called it gun shy or like in darts where they can’t let go of the dart but I just think it was to do with there not being the openings.
I still think though Wlad would of won the rematch as their was enough evidence in the final rounds that when Wlad finally realised he had to knock Furey out I remember being worried for Furey.
Whatever I’m sure this played a part with Joshua and age aside at least we saw a Wlad that could throw punches and came close to winning,I had him up on the scorecards also.

It’s my opinion though that Wlad on that night would of beaten Ortiz,Povetkin and Wilder who I think he would of schooled although I wouldn’t of ruled out a late KO from Wilder though either as his is want.

Glad you recognize the orgy mask as well. Wilder is no doubt in a secret society, Constant symbolism with Wilder. Joshua is as well though

Almost a head?!? This is a large overstatement. I am just 6', & my head seems to measure 11" long.
"Almost a head" has gotta be at least ~ 8", at least without a quite short skull!
    Not just 2-3".

You think he is actually injecting oil into his muscles to loom bigger, like some cheating bodybuilders? Not even something practical, just for appearance?
Where is the evidence for that, or it being at all likely?

Wlad defo deteriorated between Pulev and Jennings and that carried onto Fury. Part of it was not having Manny in the corner but he was pushing 40 and slowing up. Joshua was lucky to survive and find that uppercut but I want to see him still prime in 12 years time. Ain't gonna happen. He will be long gone by 2030.

He fought a great fight Wlad, but it was his retirement fight, Joshua beat an atg at the end of the road. A good win, and at the time Wlad was still no1 or 2 in many peoples eyes, but it is what it is, the man was 41 and hadn't fought for a while
