Well you say far more ways to land that power.. Wlad fought Fury, barely touched him and didn't drop him. Wilder landed on Fury and was maybe a second away from knocking Fury out, in fact many referees would have stopped Fury on the floor in the first fight.
That's a false equivalency though as they all have different styles. Fury was actually in decent shape against Vlad and used movement but had a low output. Fury and Vlad are both far more skilled than Wilder. Also two of the Fury Wilder fights Fury was in poor shape compared to the other top guys in the division. The Fury from the second fight is the best version who applied actual offensive skill. I personally think a prime Vlad stops Wilder in less time than the damaged goods version of Fury did.
How is his power untested? Fury has said he doesn't even remember getting up. Wilder just has awful finishing skills unless it's a 1-2 ender.
He's only fought 1 decent boxer and that was Fury. Many heavy handed fighters look spectacular when they start out but Wilder never really stepped up and fought the better guys until he fought Fury who let's face it was a cherry pick as Fury was damaged goods at that point. The fact is Wilder and Fury flatter each other. Wilder hasn't fought ANY of the other top guys. If Wilder actually took a risk he would have got folded well before he did that's why the live dogs were kept away from him throughout his career.
Notice how boxers always like to list boxers they beat as the hardest hitters they faced, as opposed to the guys who actually sparked them out. Not to take anything away from Wlad's power but it was Ruiz who concussed AJ.
There can be an element of that for sure. however being concussed and being really hurt are two different things. Pudding isn't feather fisted but Vladd cleary punched a lot harder.
I fail to see why this is so hard to believe? Usyk and Ruiz are not big punchers. Wlad's straight rights were devastating. That straight right that put Joshua down is definitely the hardest hit he's took, and I'd like to see Wilder or Usyk take that shot
The thing that Wilder is good at is when hes got someone going he is a finisher however unorthodox he may look windmilling , but he gets the job done. Your eatlier point about Vlad hardly touching Fury & Wilder did, Fury fought an entirely different fight against a skilled & wily fighter in Vlad. Fury barely engaged Vlad , basically wearing him out by making Vlad work at pace etc.
You always see this on the ring best I’ve faced. They like the list their accolades and not give credit to those who have beat them. In this instance I think he probably does have a point. Ruiz caught him with a shot he didn’t see. Because Ruiz isn’t massively powerful it actually made it worse in my opinion. AJ was ready to go for a good while and it ended up being a sustained beat down for 2/3 rounds. Getting sparked would have probably been better than what happened.
