Joshua Klitschko II November 11th in Vegas

I don't think Wlad really wants it. If it's taken him this much time to decide. He should retire it's Joshua's time now.

 

Or this time he'll be fighting a guy who isn't coming off the longest layoff of his career?

Granted Wlad will be 42 and although he lost to Joshua he can take great consolation in the fact not only did he drop him but was imo outboxing him and had AJ out on his feet and hurt more than AJ had the supposed brittle Wlad.

AJ should be the favourite but in no way will it end in 2.

 

It's not the age but the mileage on the clock. Klitschko has been a model professional and has proper looked after himself. That first fight with AJ was the first war he's been involved in in a very long time.

Like you said, he takes a couple of rounds off to get that second wind, where it comes from is beyond me.
Wlad i think "Should" take this as he is more than capable of stopping him in spectacular fashion next time around, the best part is AJ now knows this, and will be ultra cautious if it does happen because he knows Wlad will not let him off the hook next time, he will finish him in style.

 

wlad seemed like he had some rust in the first fight. though it might have been old age.

I remember he was throwing some dodgy leaping left hook most of the fight and wasted 2 rounds when aj was legless by headhunting when he could have destroyed him to the body.

 

Totally agree, he did keep on getting his timing wrong with the big left hooks. He did eventually land with a huge left hook that buzzed AJ in the 5th and initiated the onslaught for that and the following round.

He should have gone to the body like you say. If he had, that second wind of AJ's might never have arrived.

 

If Klitschko loses he should retire as hes had a great career.

He was a great champion and had a great last hurrah in which he couldn't quite get the job done when he had a chance to. He most likely gets eviscerated in a rematch and that's not something I personally care to see.

If he's determined to come back then he's earned the right to have another shot but I think it's the right time to hang em up myself. He's got nothing left to prove, his health intact and more money than a sensible man can spend.

 

I don't think it will be an issue given the revenue generated by the fight for the State. It's not like Joshua has been in heaps of trouble recently as well.

I agree with this. I'm not so sure Wlad believes he can win. Not to mention another 12 week camp for a guy over 40 isn't easy.

I think AJ would stop Wlad inside 7 in a rematch.

If I was Wlad I would reject the fight from a legacy standpoint and fight someone else and end on a win with a strap.

No way would I bet going in again with AJ and getting sparked again. It kills his legacy.
