Yea that makes sense but the main reason in my opinion is this: If you get someone really really good to fight on the undercard he could steal the show and make the main event look horrible.
I'm with you but for Eddie, Even if aj loses I think Eddie is quids in as they will sell it as the experience factor and aj will rise again. This undercard was to showcase his Olympic stable to the biggest possible audience.
