After Giovanni's scintillating performance tonight which ended with a 6th round stoppage of Alexis Rocha, I decided to go back and watch his 2020 bout with former world champion Antonio DeMarco.

Santillan 96-94 Actual scores 95-95 and 96-94 twice. Santillan wins a majority decision.

Enjoyable back and forth scrap with neither man really hurt at any time. Santillan did not look nearly as good or as powerful as he did in tonight's Rocha fight. He may have improved a bit but I am going to attribute it to Demarco's skills and toughness. DeMarco was working toward a win and seemed to tire in the last three rounds. This turned out to be Demarco's last bout.
