He's quite a specimen alright , so was Bruno right enough. I like Joshua but I'm always slightly worried about the gas tank on guys with that much muscle
He doesn't look lean, he looks like a body builder. Wonder how we'll fare in the 11th or 12th round. Good luck not gassing.
While very muscular he looks nothing like a bodybuilder, he'd need to be at least 40-50lbs heavier to be regarded as big enough to compete well as a bodybuilder. When you consider a body builder like Ferrigno out weighted him by 35lbs at 6'4" it's obvious he's some distance off from being a bodybuilder, especially from today's mass monsters who dwarf even Ferrigno. Physically AJ is very imposing, I'm sure the sheer stature of the guy intimidates a lot of his opponents. Will be interesting to see him up against a guy who isn't intimidated and who will really be AJ's first test as a pro. Maybe he does gas late, maybe not, Wlad is of a similar size and so was McCline though neither were as physically impressive, mainly due to AJ's very low body fat.
Whyte has a shot because he can throw counters. That means it's not going to be as simple as just jabbing him since he can come over the top. AJ just can't throw everything against Whyte he'd get caught with something. Whyte can jab as well and has power. All that muscle isn't going to help AJ's chin.
Remember when people thought Olubamiwo was a beast, all those juiced muscles didn't see him to the first bell vs Big Bad John.
he looked totally differnt versus whyte the first time they fought, skinny and lanky. hes totally different now.
I think Whyte has a decent chance, he Joshua fights in one plane, i.e he stands straight up and seems to have poor flexibility in his waist area. Whyte seems to have decent side to side movement to cause Joshua problems!
He was a teenager at the time. Most 26 year olds who have spent the past 7 years training like professional athletes look totally different from their 19 year old, totally amateur, selves.
Fury beating Wlad should teach us like many upsets before that, that in the ring anything can happen - especially at heavyweight. Of course that said I think AJ will win by KO or TKO inside the expected 4 rounds he said already. But who knows we could all be saying "I knew AJ was a hype job" and the haters will be saying I told you so! Lets see......
If joshua walks through dillian the same way hes done everybody else will peoples opinions change? at what point will they give him props and accept him as truly great? i can understand the criticism as of now as hes not faced anybody great, but i don't believe anybody can deny the potential talent he has shown so far.
