    People should also remember that Figueroa also MISSED the weight, so his weight advantage also and burns fought like that, combined with a shocking ref.

    McDonnell was outstanding, really good performance against a genuine top 5 guy.

    I'm not sure if Burns did well or Figueroa didn't even bother to train. Figueroa missed the weight, looked completely flat from the start.
    I had Figueroa winning comfortable enough and the grab, grab, grab, grab, grab, grab, grab, style of Burns was finally punished by a referee.

    The Sky pair made me laugh, made a big deal about about the fight being in Texas and home advantage, the judges favouring the home fighter... Do they remember Burns fights in Scotland? The constant grab, grab, grab, grab, grab and the still ridiculous draw against Beltran?

    McDonnell was fortunate I think, it was very close, lucky to get the decision in a fight that close over there, happy for him though.

    I'm really happy for him, it was close, I thought he recovered so well from the knockdown, looked a heavy on first viewing but he sprang up LOL

    I don't think you could have argued if it went either way.
