he was filmed jumping up and down drinking the weekend after he cancelled the fight claiming to be injured. he never thought he'd win. he comes back and gets one big money fight he will disappear again.

 

Jumping up and down for a few seconds isnt the same as being in a ring taking punches where you need to be able to move against an opponent. Was he jumping on one foot or on the injured foot? It wouldnt make any difference. I have worked with broken bones and nobody has known, but wouldnt want to be in a physical altercation as it would be a big hindrance.

The injury looked suspicious to me at the time.

I have sprained my ankle three times badly and known others to do so to, the the bruising to swelling ratio is way off. His ankle should either have way less bruising for so little swelling or way more swelling for so much bruising.

But I do think he had a genuine injury. I've danced on a sprained ankle worse than Fury's when drunk. Stupid think to do though, after that injury I think his interest in the fight was gone.

I have no doubt the fight could be made if percentages could be agreed

 

Even if that happens, Joshua would still be the cash cow of the division, though obviously not as big as before. Even before Joshua beat Wlad he was making more than Wilder.

So Joshua losing won't change much, he'd still be the A side even without a belt and until Wilder accepts that this fight isn't happening.
