Another child of privilege/corruption with an entire syndicate working to ensure his success replete with an army of sycophant fan boys.
I imagine it is like having someone urinate down your back then tell you it's raining. That's how little respect Joshua's handlers have for their cult following. Add that chinless fraud RJJ to your list. That was sure one massive personality cult that still remains to this day for some reason?
Joshua will not have a dominant, historically legendary undefeated reign. I said that before and after the Klitschko fight. I just don't see it. However, I think people living in the moment a little bit and overreacting from the fight. It's not like I watch it and go, "yeah, he's more basic than I thought!" He's just pretty basic. Very good no doubt. But he's basic for someone so touted and has weaknesses. And he still only has one highly notable victory, so I do understand and tend to ride with the "anti-Joshua" posts here even though I really don't have a disdain for the guy (beyond knocking my boy Wladimir).
Joshua is overrated, but he would knock Wilder out which is not saying much. Wilder had never fought a legit fighter and never will.................
If you rate Joshua as "the" heavyweight champion then you're not overrating him. If you say Joshua is an all time great, you are overrating him. Like it or not Joshua is still a perfect 100%. I suspect that both Joshua and Wilder don't have diamond chins and titles are going to be exchanged frequently in the division.
We have to put this into perspective. What newly crowed HW champ was not the subject of criticism and doubt. I remember before the Berbick fight Mike Tyson invited a very fierce discussion among supporters ("He is a KO machine, he will be the next superstar") and detractors ("He hasn't beaten anyone, he's too small, his amateur credentials are mediocre at best"). The rest is history. The jury is still out on AJ. He's good no doubt, we can say that already. History will show if he's great.
the fight panned out similar to what i imagined . joshua is not the finished article /takam is a strong tough man / the fact a lot of AJ fans said it would be over in 2 or 3 rounds / the fact that a lot of AJ haters said it was a gimmee fight meant whatever happened it was a no win fight. in fact it was the mainly NZ posters who gave the calmest more rational view about AJ before mand after. he is a good heavy still learning his trade / the right fighters and styles will test him IMO the fighter with the best style and chin to beat him is ortiz who i would favour to beat AJ . wilder has the power too but when he swings and a misses he leaves his chin on a dinner plate although i have always thought that there is a very good fighter in wilder if he got his mind and gameplan right. too many easy fights have made him sloppy. the right gameplan could make him right up there. joshua is both overated on ESB and underated there are very few posters who take a step back no matter if they like a boxer or not and post nuetrally about big name fighters .
Of course he's over-rated. It comes with the territory. That doesn't mean he's a bad fighter, he isn't. He's clearly the best in the division until proven otherwise. Boxing fans are fickle and anything less than perfection will draw criticism. So AJ's not perfect - no heavyweight in the history of the sport has been perfect either.
