Are they similar or is Joshua a better boxer than Bruno...To me Joshua seems to becoming a bit of a plodder as Bruno was so often called. When Joshua was hit by Ruiz he reacted exactly as Bruno used to , rabbit in the headlights & went into shell mode with out to much defence...is it a Nigerian thing ....or just rubbish UK training ?
AJ is the far more well rounded boxer with already the far superior resume than Bruno had. Bruno and Chisora is a more accurate comparison.

The only top tier fight I saw Bruno in that he was OKish was against Lewis. The only reason he look OK in that was because he was not scared of Lewis plus lawless probably told him , if you lose this you say goodbye to the Harry HP sauce ads ...So farnk thought sod the belts but I needs the sauce money...
You get the impression that if a blob like Ruiz can get to Joshua. Then Bruno would do. Frank's record might have been a bit better. If you consider he lost against a prime Tyson, and had a serious eye injury in the second fight. The heavier version that beat McCall, in my opinion would have beat both Bonecrusher and Witherspoon. Bruno would have held a title today.
He hated Lewis because he called him an Uncle Tom and said he was English because he grew up in London as a kid, Frank didn`t except that because of Lewis`s Canadian accent.
Ruiz has far faster hands than Frank and handled being knocked down better than Frank would, if Frank could nail AJ then AJ could nail Frank no way could Frank stand a chance with Wilder, Ortiz couldn`t keep him off and he`s far harder to hit than Frank was.
