No, but Ruiz is the better combination puncher and has better handspeed than the 41 year old Wlad(might have better hand speed than the prime version too.) So surviving against Wlad when hurt was easier.
Irrelevant. It's not the hardness of Ruiz's punches but where he hit him. Wlad hit Joshua under the eye, Ruiz hit Joshua behind the ear and on the temple. The behind the ear punch was the one that devastated him because it left him drunk for the rest of the fight. The temple punch concussed him and sent him to the canvas
No, I think the Wlad punch was harder. But the difference was against Wlad he was in a good position to take the shot, legs under him, in a prepared stance, chin tucked in, so his head stayed pretty static when absorbing the punch. The Ruiz punch while have less force caught AJ when he himself was throwing, he wasn't braced for it like the Wlad shot and so the effect was more disastrous. Ruiz style is dangerous for anyone who tries and trades with him. He presses forward with a high guard, absorbs whatever comes his way and looks to counter when his opponent throws. There's only one way to fight him, move, hit and move again to avoid the counter. Getting into a trading war with him is a recipe for disaster, Parker even with his rapid fair combo's learned that when he fought him and got on his bike.
I dont think he has better hand speed but think you may well be right about the combinations, though I think Klitschko may have landed more and harder punches at the end of the 5th round against Joshua than Ruiz managed before he Joshua went down
