You're spot on Hayer's it all comes down to better management. Fury probably did post it and meant all the other things he said but he always spoke his mind back then which gained him a cult following. I have no doubt that both him and Joshua are anti-gay, there is no way Joshua is 'cool with gays' no matter how many times he goes on the Graham Norton show. You kind of get the sense with Joshua he is a man trapped by 'media management' I will be very surprised if he signs a new contract with Matchroom in 2021(?) his body language and rhetoric of late suggest he has had enough.

I guess when Fury-Joshua happens in Saudi Arabia we might get to see a few homosexuals executed on the undercard.
Tony Bellew's missus will wear a niqaab as long as she gets a few complimentary stones to chuck at the gays.
AJ wearing a Robert Mugabe T-shirt.
Fury saying "It is what it is. 100%"
..... Adam Smith keeping his head down.

I love this sort of response. It's so pathetic. The best examples of terrible whataboutery you can find.

Fury could start posting every day that he thinks gays should be killed and the Fury fanboy club would be tripping over themselves to say 'but but but but but you know Joshua probably doesn't like them either.'

It's laughable. Fury gets popped for PED's - Joshua doesn't. Yeah but Joshua's probably on them. Fury says gays should be killed. Yeah but Joshua probably doesn't like them either. Fury says abortion is as bad as sexual abuse/women should stay in the kitchen. Joshua does something bad too.

Can't you address what Fury says and does without having to dream up theoretical possibilities which concern a different bloke? I think Boris Johnson is an idiot, but I don't need to also add that I also think Jeremy Corbyn is an idiot as well every time I mention anything related to politics.

Never here on fight nights and simply stuck on here to promote the Matchroom FC agenda.

Seen through the drivel a long time ago slagging off any Warden success, fighters promoted by Warden or even linked in any way to Warden including two of our greats Calzaghe and Fury.

Zero balance or context to any of his posts and most are the same repetitive nonsense.

Just give it the zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz under his posts.

Doesn't really matter what Joshua thinks he is going to be outclassed and he will realise beating fat out of shape smaller men won't prepare him for asa hitting fleet footed giant!!

I think the "went away" / "stayed at home" thing simply recognizes that 'home' fighters (especially ones with titles) tend to have advantages. Boxing at the professional level is rarely played fairly. Challengers who were going to Germany (Klitschko's boxing home) to challenge Klitschko expected a fair bit of favourable officiating and various underhand, behind-the-scenes skullduggery to put them at further disadvantage.

Popular champions who stay at home enjoy those advantages.

So, credit is due to fighters who travel to their backyards and beat them.

Whilst a lot of that is true I was more getting at the idea that fighters 'should' go away from home as though to prove themselves. In the endless Fury/Joshua v Klitschko comparisons it's often suggested Fury proved himself whilst Joshua relied on home cooking. The reality about how those fights came to be where they were is because Joshua was the big superstar and Fury wasn't.

It's an example of how boxing is an entertainment business as well as a sport. You're inevitably at something of a disadvantage if you're not popular.

To summarise your post Hayer's, Fury did it the hard way whereas Joshua got an easy ride. Vacant titles, home venues, 'preferred' referee's, media bias the list goes on.

Neither had a choice. One was popular and one wasn't. Fighters go where the money is generated, hence Joshua and Ruiz ending up in Saudi Arabia. Don't forget Klitschko is Ukrainian and whilst he had spent a lot of time in Germany it's not 'home,' in the same way the likes of Canelo, Pacquaio and Golovkin are set up.

Just sounds like standard pre-fight talk to me. People can take it to literally or too much to heart. AJ is hardly going to come out and say "Fury is the perfect fighter, I have 0 chance of a win v him"
