Joshua screwed it up this time, Ruiz will come hard on body

Its a dilemma, very sticky situation

 

If Ruiz is getting his sparring and drills in I can see him going 12 rounds with Joshua and giving Joshua a tough fight.

 

Ruiz the underdog is going to be hitting meat slabs on hooks in training and running up the steps of classically styled municipal buildings followed by hoards of enthused children. However Joshua will still take the fight by split decision after a slugfest.

Or maybe Ruiz won't really train much and will get KO'd in the early rounds.

 

Ruiz will not buckle that hgh gut one bit. There will be no Mexican American heavyweight champion, as Joshua will KO him in 5

 

Tubby taco man Ruiz, has perfected the art, and added a new weapon into his repertoire. It's called the big whooper punch. Even deadlier than the Big Mac, and bargain bucket hook. Even deadlier than Dustin Nichols check jab too.

 

8 inch reach advantage for AJ. See how Povetkin went? That's how this fight's gonna go pretty much. Ruiz will struggle to get close as Povetkin did. He may have some success early on but eventually AJ will figure out the formula, take control and knock him out.

Think it'll be a tad easier than the Povetkin fight as Ruiz doesn't have those devastating hooks at his disposal. AJ knocks him out, round 5.

 

Ruiz has been going hard on his own body it appears... going hard in Jack in the Box, Burger King, KFC, Taco Bell....

 

Ruiz doesnt hit hard. I mean Joshua was hit by the biggest right hand of an Era and he got up, chubster couldnt muster that sort of power in a million years.

 

I think it's going to be a lot easier than Povetkin. Povetkin has so many more tools in his arsenal than Ruiz to cut the distance and then land.

Povetkin uses a lot of head movement, he dips and crouches, while Ruiz Jr due to his size simply doesn't move the head much at all.

Povetkin is much lighter on his feet, he can dart in and out and use angles unlike Ruiz Jr who just plods forward in a straight line.

Povetkin disguises his shots so much better than Andy. Povetkin dips to his left but it could be a left hook to the head or body or even an over hand right that he throws from that position, that gave Joshua a lot of problems as he couldn't anticipate what was coming and then catch and counter like he likes to do. Ruiz Jr is much easier to read, even if gets past the jab Joshua will be able to read the shots coming far easier and reply with counters and due to Ruiz's lack of head movement land those counters.

Overall Joshua will find it much easier to land the jab and control distance vs Ruiz Jr than vs Povetkin. Ruiz Jr is going to be stuck on the end of that jab hitting air, getting countered when he does lunge in. People will likely say afterwards Ruiz Jr gave up or went into survival mode but in reality it will be because Joshua completely shuts him down and doesn't give him any opportunities, it's going to look like the Molina fight, only it will last longer as Ruiz Jr is more durable.

"Hard" and "Body" should never be terms used when discussing Ruiz (LOL).
On a serious note...not a chance. Whether or not it is on paper, this will end up at least looking like a mismatch. AJ hurts him with the first meaningful punch and then follows up. Ruiz doesn't last much longer when that happens. I'm guessing within 4 rounds.

 

People this is AJ's debut on foreign soil . I think everyone is expecting same old AJ to turn up . I'm expecting a devastating KO by AJ that will shake MSG to it's foundations , a chance to show every American who the real HW king is . None of this single belt holder B-side , no obscure lineal champ nonsense but a unified HW champ who is actually willing to fight anyone . AJ KO Round 2 and New York to be 1812'd . Seriously I expect a brutal AJ for this fight .

 

Ruiz has a good hook.

 

Yeah when/if it lands clean. Whyte had a good hook too, AJ still took it.
