Joshua fears the name of Fury

He loses to anyone with a chin who can handle his shots

Tyson, Hughie, Joyce, Ruiz all beat his meat

It would look like Ali vs Foreman. Shades of Ali all day.

Nothing to gain and everything to lose in this fight for AJ.

Hughie is nothing like Ali and Ruiz had the chin to take AJ`s shots but still lost tyheir rematch.

Hughie is finished as a name Heavyweight. He's had so many opportunities but is absolutely dreadful to watch. He's been overtaken by Joyce, Hunter, Hrgovic and Dubois.
I'm actually shocked to see his name on here as if he's even relevant.

His last two wins are career best performances: he did a better job on Hammer than Yoka or Sanchez and a much better job on Wach than Whyte. Given that in the current HW climate he is still young while being highly experienced, I wouldn't write him off. There is talk of him fighting Helenius next, who is 3rd ranked with the WBA and Hughie would school him in all probability.

Joshua would probably win, Hughie Fury vs. Otto Wallin would be a good pillow fist fight...

Hammer and Wach are career best wins ? Considering how long he's been a pro, that tells us a lot about his career.

He fought Parker at 23, Pulev at 24 in Bulgaria and Povetkin at 25, he was moved far too quickly.

Another way of looking at it though is he went 36 rounds with them, won 12 by consensus and was never knocked down or even hurt in those fights, or his career as a whole. He's been a pro for a long time but he's 27.5 in a time where the top 5 heavyweights have an average age of 35+. Wach and Hammer are no great shakes but comparatively speaking, he's outperformed most or all of his rival contenders who fought them in the last few years. If he beats a rejuvenated Helenius and looks good doing so, that will become his best win and be further evidence that he's moving in the right direction.

I give Hughie props for sticking with it but still reckon he needs a very big win to get himself back in the conversation.

It will depend how well he's matched and if he has A-side/home advantage. If you've got slow feet as many of even the better HW's do (especially when they're in their mid-30's and on) prime Hughie could be a nightmare. But he will also be avoided by many for that reason, unless he has powerful financial backing. I suppose that's why he's been more aggressive of late: he'll never get institutional support if no one wants to watch him fight.

Hughie has skills and a great chin and yes has been matched quickly but his lack of aggression/power does not make him fan friendly . Hughie v Dubois would be an interesting fight as would Hughie v Chisora .
