To be fair to Wilder his fight with Ortiz was one of Showtime's biggest fight nights in a long time, and he's publicly said he'll take a 40% split. Can't blame Joshua for saying all of this though, Wilder has done a helluva lot of posturing in the past and I wouldn't be surprised if he's still demanding 50/50 behind close doors.

He can keep punching piñatas, making accusations about PED use, ducking etc and his core fanbase will lap it up, but that won't change reality. The truth is that he either accepts what AJ is willing to give him or he stays on the outside looking in, getting older, risking either losing relevance by fighting more cans ir losing the belt that is the only asset he had.

The fight is a BIG risk for Joshua and he could easily get knocked out; Wilder has that equaliser and then some.

However, what Joshua is saying is correct; Matchroom are offering the venue, big PPV numbers, an excellent platform and 10x more money than what Wilder is currently making.

Wilder on the other hand is offering NOTHING, no venue, no guaranteed numbers, no platform. It is just bravado and talk from him.

This is also a fantastic opportunity for Wilder to come into someone else's back yard and take his prize. He can also organise a rematch with better financials (reverse the deal) should he win the first fight. He can also sign a 2-3 fight deal with Matchroom who can co-promote with Showtime and Sky Sports and build even bigger fights.

Aside from ONE belt, can anyone tell me what Wilder has to offer?
