Joshua is delusional. He can't freeze out Wilder's career. Even if the Joshua fight never happens Wilder has an endless supply of WBC defenses he could make, since nobody in the WBC rankings can beat him. At $2-3 million per fight with two fights a year can make easy money the rest of his career. But, knowing Hearn he just wants to make some more domestic money off of Joshua for another 2-3 years before risking him against Wilder.

    1. Dillian Whyte
Has okay power and poor stamina.
    2. Dominic Breazeale
Has power, but is very slow and has even worse stamina than Whyte.
    3. Luis Ortiz
Wilder already beat him and would beat him easier in the rematch.
    4. Alexander Povetkin
More durable than Ortiz, but less of a stylistic threat.
    5. Kubrat Pulev
Too predictable and easy to hit.
    6. Tony Bellew
I can see his speed giving Wilder problems, but once Wilder lands he knocks him out.
    7 .- Johann Duhaupas
    Wilder already beat him.
    8. Charles Martin
    Too slow and predictable.
    9. Adam Kownacki
Good puncher, but not sold on his stamina.
    10. Agit Kabayel
Barely beat a shot Chisora. Isn't a threat to Wilder at all.
    11. Oscar Rivas
Don't see him being a threat.
    12. Carlos Takam
Skilled, but has no power to hurt Wilder.
    13. Lucas Browne
Has the power, but is inactive and old.
    14. Dereck Chisora
Shot. Should've retired several years ago.
    15. Bermane Stiverne
Wilder already beat him twice. Should've retired after the first Wildef fight.

A 60/40 split in Joshua favor in the uk is more than fair. If AJ and his team reject that then it's a duck.

    I'd agree with that.

What if any flat fee cash offer would you think was fair to Deontay? 10m?

Neither fighter really needs the other one. Wilder is making more money than he ever could conceive of and can continue to do so for years. Making a couple million per fight for 6 or 8 more bouts puts him on easy street assuming he doesn't blow it all.

Joshua is also making money and way more of it. He can fight Fury and Haye and make tons of dough.

Who really cares besides some fan boys here ? Neither one is an international star.

Joshua is SO SCARED of Wilder getting in the ring. Doesn't he realize that the people will demand this fight?

Lots of good points made in this thread, but there’s posturing on both sides. I like AJ and think he has a right to call the shots with Wilder. That said, I’d love to see Parker win just to laugh when everyone (Hearn, AJ, Wilder, PBC) scramble to pick up the pieces. FYI, Aus/NZ is a long trip from either the UK or the US. Make no mistake about it, Parker would call the shots and require challengers to make that trip.

This leads to my next point, tax revenue. I expect this to be a rhetorical question for all but Wilder’s most fervent fans, but here goes. Does anyone really think the UK is going to forego all the tax money by letting AJ, the proven A-side in a Wilder fight, travel to Vegas for a fight that will not draw anywhere close to the 70K who will attend an AJ/Wilder fight in any big soccer stadium?

Someone in Wilder’s camp, presumably someone who genuinely cares about him, needs to strongly advise him to stop negotiating in the press. From a shrewd promoter’s point of view, if Wilder demands 50/50, you offer 60/40. Now that Wilder claims to be agreeable to 40%, Hearn will offer less than that, which he should as a businessman and as AJ’s promoter. Wilder cannot hope to match wits with Hearn much as Hearn would never be able to do what Wilder does in the ring.

    My 2 cents.

Either Joshua and Eddie do not want to accept Wilders supposed 40 / 60 split,or Wilder is lying about offering that

I think Joshua and Hearn are not accepting of 60 %. They want more, but given how unknown Wilder is, they have a good point; Joshua would certainly sell more than 60% of the tickets and PPVs

Wilder needs to be realistic and pitch them 35/65 and see how that is received

I`d say his stamina is better than Wilders. DW almost got KO`d after 7 rounds going at a snails pace against the old Cuban. Maybe Wilder will step up after 50 or 60 fights. :D
