In the Beatles song "I Sould Have Known Better" John Lennon sings "I sould have known better with a girl like you. That I would love everything that you do. And I do, hey, hey, hey, and I do."

I never understood what he was singing about until today. Joshua.

I thought he was a bit of an over achiever if anything.

If you listen to the REAL original, you'll know she was singing about AFRICA.

As far as legacy goes, there are two issues...

    1) He actually could've been better into his later career... Fighting as he did in Usyk-2, he'd have beaten anyone on the division other than Usyk and possibly Fury.

Unfortunately, I think ego got in the way and he still wanted to be more aggressive, where he didn't need to be to build reputation and would've been more effective if he hadn't.

The loss to Dubois was arguably in large part due to fighting like an idiot (the Parker against Joyce method, let's call it) by unnecessarily exposing your chin trying to be aggressive when you don't need to and probably shouldn't do it - set the ego aside and box and he'd have won that fight IMHO.

Retiring with one avenged loss to Ruiz and two losses to an undeniable ATG in Usyk would've looked a lot better than adding an unavenged loss to Dubois into the mix.

    2) He was unlucky that the other big name in his era turned out to be a fraud - having been debated as equals for so long, despite Wilder's obvious ducking, his reputation gets dragged down as well... Despite having done a ridiculous amount more to prove otherwise.

Ultimately Joshua was better than he gets credit for on here now (though not a great either - only Usyk is from this era), but still could've been better if ego hadn't got in the way

If he had had the mental make up of an ATG, I think he probably doesn't lose to Ruiz or Dubois. He would at best only be second to Usyk, though.

He was exacly what he was - A manufactured bodybuilding bum

He got gifted everything his entire career hence overachieved because of that

He didn't win gold, it got gifted to him
He bought his first belt off Charles Martin who shouldn't have had that belt in the first place
He got lucky to fight for all the belts against out of retirement Wlad
Chinned over on his US debut, should have fought Wilder by that point but AJ, Wilder and their respective managements ducked one another because they knew they had two useless plodders with nothing more than a punch
Usyk was a cherry pick in Eddie's mind
The only thing Eddie Hearn did well manufacturing the bodybuilding bum was not sticking him in with Chisora at any point. Now most people would think that AJ would chin Chisora over with a right hand rather easily but with hindsight I wreckon it would have gone the other way
Dubious fight was curtains, just hightlighted how limited he is. Outjabbed, mentally beaten. Outfought by the Crayon eater.

    Fury AJ is Khan Brook

They will fight when there are no options left...

Fury still has options unlike AJ who will get chinned fighting a top 10 HW hence why he is sitting out waiting for Fury to get his Usyk delusions out of his head.

Fury boxes his face off when it happens. I'd rather see Fury Chisora 5, actually i'd rather see AJ Chisora.

joshua Is an overachiever and beating old men has flattered his legacy. His gold medal is gifted to him off 2 corrupt decisions. He was never going to overcome a focused Fury, Dubois would beat any version of joshua and Wilder easily could have knocked him out
