This is Joshuas chance to start from scratch and become a better fighter. Excellent choice. We'll also see number 1 and number 2 go at it for undisputed

he's still a money maker and v/c of that I think he'll get another shot soon anyway unless he loses to Wilder before then.

I don't know how good of a source this is with the report. What I do know is that it's getting awfully late to announce Usyk/AJ 2 for April.

That's not the way boxing business works. IF Joshua takes the money, they'll make a contract that will mandate the winner of Usyk-Fury to fight AJ next. The governing bodies have nothing to do with it. They can obviously strip the winner of some belts, but the fight between AJ and the winner of Usyk-Fury would happen anyways. That is, if Fury won't retire.

He'd be an idiot to not take the money, if it really is £15 million.
That's a crazy amount of money to get paid to not fight, especially when the fight he would be forgoing could well turn out very bad for his reputation anyway.

15m to step aside but he could at the same time still fight during this period of inactivity and earn another 5-7m against wilder maybe... thats a good deal

And yet money talks. Joshua is the money and noone else in the division can provide it.

    Smart man
    Get to the bag twice.
Work on himself & his game plan , then fight the winner for undisputed .

I like how the latest headline is 'close to accepting'. As if there was any chance he'd refuse 15m to avoid another humiliation by Usyk.

The fighter purse at the weekend was for half the gate! Before the PPV or anything else is factored in. Crazy

They're ALL grossly overpaid sports stars.

600,000 for a nights work isn't bad when you consider it would take i.e firefighters and nurses (occupations that really matter in society..) more than 12 years to earn that..

Im not outraged for Ngannou ffs .. The money in boxing and the top end of all sports has always been obscene, whether it's 15 million or half a mill… For half an hours work none of its bad LOL

Be more pissed off that society hero worship's sports morons more than its actual genuine contributors like veterans & nurses & a guy stuck in a factory all day for £10 an hour.
