You really haven't the slightest idea how boxing works, do you my friend?

You're bitter because Wilder doesn't get a look in.

If Usyk is more interested in fighting Fury now and is willing to pay AJ the step side money and to also be included in contract to fight him next I see no problem with this.

After all when AJ vs Fury where in talks, Usyk verbally agreed to a step aside money that also included him fighting the winner next.

I've been watching boxing since the 1970s.

When has a fourth-rated contender (with a rematch clause) coming off a loss ever taken a step-aside fee for a unification and been guaranteed a shot at the winner?

Because that's what we have in this situation.

Tell me ALL the times that's happened, since that's how "boxing works" (in your mind)?

Mandatories waiting their turn for a title shot get step-aside fees. Fourth-rated (or in the case of the WBC unrated) challengers who lost their last fights don't.

Joshua is only getting a rematch with Usyk because he has a rematch clause.

If Joshua wants a tuneup and wants the Usyk-Fury winner to fight him later in the year, somebody better be paying the champs something to agree to that. Nobody needs to pay Joshua anything.

Joshua is just in the way at this point. Take your rematch or get out of the way.

RIGHT. Because Usyk was THE MANDATORY!!!!!!!!

    You're finally getting it.

Joshua had to fight him or he'd get stripped.

Joshua isn't the mandatory in this situation. Nobody is stripping Usyk if he doesn't fight Joshua next. Joshua is rated #4 in the IBF, #4 in the WBO, #5 in the WBA and NOT RATED AT ALL by the WBC.

If Joshua doesn't want the immediate rematch (which was part of their deal), Usyk is under no obligation to ever fight him again and Usyk can take his three belts and go on his merry way.

So Usyk should say to Joshua take the immediate rematch or get out of the way. Because I'm not agreeing to fight you later. Fight me now or get out of the way.

Why are you putting the blame solely on Joshua in all of this? Fury and Usyk both want the undisputed fight, however Usyk is contracted to fight Joshua, if Joshua exercises that clause.

Joshua is willing to step aside and thus not exercise the rematch clause, if the money is right, according to reports.

There's a lot of money involved in fighting Joshua and/or Fury. That's why neither Fury or Usyk have any problems whatsoever with facing Joshua after their respective bout.

Why is this so difficult for you to grasp?

It makes every sense because it's the most lucrative fight. Usyk asked for a rematch clause with Joshua for that reason.

Nonsense. If Usyk beats Fury to win four heavyweight titles he shouldn't be tied to an existing deal that he MUST make his first defense against Joshua ... removing all his options to fight anyone else and will result in him getting stripped right and left.

    Primarily because it's completely unnecessary.

Signing something like that impacts any deal he would sign to unify with Fury. Fury and Usyk should be free to negotiate their own deals and their own clauses.

Joshua can have his immediate rematch now. Usyk is willing to honor that part of their last contract.

It should go no further than that.

Usyk WANTED the rematch clause because he views fighting Joshua as easy money. The same will be true this time. If he unifies the belts they essentially become meaningless- he's obviously the man and can fight whoever he likes.

There would be an obligation if there was some form of contract that stipulated that Joshua would fight the winner.

I dont think Joshua will step aside so the point is moot.

This all comes down to whether or not there is 15 million on the table. If there is, I don’t see how AJ refuse. 15 million is a lot of money to do nothing and he will get his title shot again. The winner of the Usyk and Furry doesn’t have another fighter they can fight for that big payday. After unifying there isn’t anything left but to bank huge payday. Outside of AJ I don’t see anyone else that can get these guys the 8 figure pay they want. Out of all my years of watching boxing , money Has always been the ultimate deciding factor and when big money is involved , it will get made..

No, he said he hadn't seen a contract yet. According to Hearn he's meeting AJ tomorrow.
