Have you seen Briggs now? He's a walking punchbag at anything above club fighter level. The dude takes an age to pull the trigger, he's shot to ****. AJ would bounce his head about until the ref shows mercy.
The entertainment briggs provides is first ckass...boxing is much moving towards wwe style entertainment. ...were a fight is a mismatch. ..already prepared....and buold uos are trash talk ectect
Divers don't deserve paydays, and he couldn't even handle Chisoras presure, he's no better than Briggs. And don't bring up TT who admits heimself he is finished and wants to retire yet still dropped Malik like a sack of ****
Not sold on AJ he was lucky to beat a one armed Whyte. If I was Matchroom I'd be very careful with AJs next 3/4 opponents he needs more experience.
Joseph Parkers matchmaker had already offered Briggs a shot...but Briggs turned it down last year. They weren't going to pay him more as he lacks any ranking benefits. If AJ fights Briggs, they obviously want AJ as a money making side show...because I see no benefit in the fight apart from the pre fight entertainment Briggs provides.
Briggs shouldn't be allowed a licence to box Joshua in this country. I'm not sure how he's allowed to fight at all after the sustained beating Vitali gave him several years ago now, combined with his age.
Great shape ?? He looks like a 50-year-old bodybuider that you'd find it any decent gym. It's sad that this guy still has to box for a living. Since getting his head bashed in for 12 rounds against Vitali over 5 years ago, he's only faced bums (and he'd been gifted that shot against VK on the strength of a similar comeback against a series of bums!) and he's rarely gone beyond 1 rounds, except for Raphael Zumbano Love who took him 12 rounds ..... that same Raphael Zumbano Love who was KO'd in 2 by Joshua in a horrible mismatch. Briggs has not had a win against a decent boxer since 2006. Hey, in his entire 23 year career he's hardly beat anyone decent anyway. This would be a terrible, terrible mismatch.
