A tweet from Oscar early this morning/late last night-

Not sure if it's a serious proposition or not, would depend again on the Showtime and HBO situation, I'd guess.

Not sure how much HBO have Ortiz tied down and not sure how tied to Showtime Joshua is.

Would be a great fight to make though.

No way Hearn puts Joshua in with Ortiz in his first defence. That belt is getting milked to sh!t for awhile yet..

Hahaha go Ortiz! No way though, I'd believe Malik Scott but Ortiz is way too dangerous for Joshua. Ortiz would make a sweet champ though!

They want to have Joshua's next fight at Wembley. Ortiz is a nobody in the UK, as of now. The most likely opponent is Dereck Chisora, should he get past Pulev, of course. They'll sell it like European champ vs World Champ.

Probably the most dangerous fight out there for Joshua.

There's no reason for Hearn to take a risk like that.

If they do take a big risk, it'll probably be against someone like Haye, who can help sell a lot of tickets in the UK. Ortiz falls firmly into the high risk/low reward category.
