#1 those belts ARE his They were taken away from a drugs cheat who wasn't even eligible to fight for them in the first place. I know this doesn't fit your agenda but Fury vs Klitschko shouldn't even have happened as fury shouldn't have been licensed. As for Parker and takam being garbage, meh they weren't amazing spectacles but they were solid wins, Parker has significance as it was a unification between unbeaten world champions. Granted watching wilder get his eyes close and lips swollen up before going full ****** against bums like duhaupas is entertaining but it's hardly gonna go down as a legendary fight is it Face it Joshua has had a WAY better career than deontay who I don't even know will get past a shot, mentally ill recovering drug addict in Fury FACTS
Wow!! And he's in his 20's, with like around 20 fights! Sick .. boxing's first billionaire in the making!
So one simple question then, If it’s such bad value for money, why do people keep buying tickets & PPVs fight after fight after fight? You didn’t ask that question, in order to change the narrative you wrongly quoted me as saying “fight” I corrected you! Once again you’re misquoting in an attempt to suit your argument! When did I state my philosophy? When did I quote the Martin fight, you brought that up? Despite everything, I’ll ask the simple question again If it’s such bad value, if everyone is walking away disappointed and unhappy then why are Joshua’s number so high and increasing? This is a thread about numbers, not started by me I might add. Why are you so shocked to find people discussing the statistics and numbers on a thread about statistics and numbers!! If you don’t like it then don’t read it or comment, plenty of other threads for you to perpatrate yourself on. I’m quite happy with the quality of fights I’ve seen, so are many others it would seem! You made a statement, lots of people dissagree with you, don’t take too personally though!
Because people are sheep and buy into the false hype. Not to mention Eddie Hearn is a very good fraudulent salesman who convinced everyone that AJ is a must see. He should actually be facing a civil suit for scalping tickets after the regulatory agency found him to be using secondary ticket websites off the black market, so he could buy all the tickets for a venue at the same cost of, on the day ticket sales., so when you go to the venue the tickets are unavailable and then he could sell that famous lie that tickets were sold out within minutes as if AJ was a megastar draw on par with the likes of Micheal Jackson.. I brought up the fight because you said good numbers equates to good value in terms of what the customer is viewing. Give it time, the numbers will dwindle. Notice AJ vs Povetkin isn't sold out yet, when it's normally ''sold out within minutes'' That's because they're on to eddies scam and have changed the rules so he can't use secondary markets to buy up all the tickets. I'm not shocked at the discussion, I'm shocked at the obsession with numbers starting with the OP who routinely talks about numbers to use as some form of badge of honor I agree with that statement to a degree. However I simply made a passing comment which I never thought would spiral a world of hate from AJ defenders to be honest
****ing ridiculous numbers. I wonder just how long it will take before they raise the prices. You loose a few buys but make back way more.
Can you imagine the look on Joshua and Hearns faces if that happened. Joshua would have a look of pure shock and Hearn would have a grin so big hed be in danger of choking on his own ears.
PPVs haven't been $26 in the US since 1990. I think Holyfield-Foreman in 1991 was $35. That was the first $30+ PPV I bought.
Well, if they do it like they did in the U.S. expect a £5 increase in regular shows and a £10 increase in bigger shows. That'll hold for a year or so. Once people buy a couple £35 shows, they'll wait until a REALLY big event and bump it to £50. Once it gets to £50, it'll go up even more much faster. That's how boxing became such a "niche" sport in the U.S. They kept raising the prices every couple years until they hit $50 or so, then fewer people started buying, so the prices went up faster to make up for the losses. Eventually, the prices got so high only a core group of diehards bought it. Once that happens, it only takes 10 years or so for a whole generation of kids who would've been fans to not follow it at all.
Um they're there to um make money thats why your boi is fighting Fury and fought Ortiz.. His management team didn't want Wilder to be Hearns Gimp so they are taking these fights all to get a bigger percentage of the golden egg... If your boi was after legacy he would have taken what ever contract that was offered and fought. Now he has really missed the golden fight because there is no way he will be going to Russia no matter how much he gets paid..
Yet Wilder puts on shows??? 90% of Wilders fights he looks like a stunned mullet with no idea what to do throwing out pawning 1-2's. He wins by lulling his opponent to sleep.. I remember twice in the Wilder Ortiz fight the crowd boo'ing because it was a snooze fest..
Yeah Joshua is a big star over there. This is not surprising at all. Too bad for the Brits the fight sucked lol
He doesn't lull them to sleep, he puts them to sleep. If you think Wilder is boring, you're high. He's knocked out every man he's faced ... and they don't look too bored when they're crawling around on the floor.
