AJ has mass appeal. I watched it in an up market bar/casino and there were more girls than guys watching the fight. The fact that woman are interested will drive the buys up from guys who might just have streamed it otherwise.

After one of the World Cup knockout games in the summer it went from the football to a show with AJ and Bear Grylls doing adventure sports. Millions of people who probably never watch boxing would have watched that. Apart from Canelo in Mexico he's operating on a different level of celebrity to every other fighter.

 

This is a very fair point. Lasses at my work, who never watch any boxing, will watch AJ fights and talk about him at work. Happens all the time tbh.
