Oh I agree, Brook should absolutely push if that is the case. It's hard to say. I don't think it would be impossible to get Pac in the UK at this stage of his career (seeing as he seems to be in world tour mode) and if Spence was allowed to come over here then they may as well let Pac. I think with the scenario offered, Khan is still likely to go for the Pac route. He may get more money over here to be honest but globally the Pac fight is much bigger and I've always felt he's more interested in that fight than Brook.
At least it's at the right weight. Dude's last win of note was Meth Head Mike in 2015 though, I'm still not big on the fight at all. Does it excise you much? Easy Brook stoppage IMO
Brook v Khan, Spence v Brook II don’t even excite me. Nothing Kel Brook related gets me off the edge of my seat to be honest. He’s become somewhat irrelevant.
Yeah, agreed. When he went to 154 I thought 'cool, I'm down for seeing him with the top talent here' but he's just after the money fights now, no interest in the top guys, so my excitement has died as well.
this card looked like it was going to be really good when the 3 fights were first announced, but there has been nothing since. all there is apart from the 3 fights is Kuzmin & Giyasov against TBA's
'What have you done to my career Eh Day' Absolutely correct. Winning against Kitchen Porter does not make a fighter PPV and he has zero appeal now. Khan v Brook even less interesting than the Money v Pac pongfest - the fight is at least 5 years beyond any interest.
When does the full card get released ? Only 5 fights listed on boxrec, i would not pay PPV for that , id be wanting a full undercard from about half six, seven oclock, 8 fights min They still do extra fights on the red button with Sky ?
**** knows. They’ve left it late. Unfortunately for the fans Joshua on his own commands PPV so Eddie doesn’t really need to put much else on.
It's missing a big backup fight. Last time out Price vs Povetkin was perfect for that slot. This time...there's..just nothing. Campbell-Mendy is good, but it's not good enough to be the chief support. It's a good chief support for one of the lesser PPV's, but not the flagship one. We need a feeling of awe and hype so that we go into the main event feeling good. I just don't get that feeling with Campbell-Mendy. Maybe I'm just asking too much. I guess the Joshua-Parker undercard blew everything out of the water. Everybody was on that undercard. It just feels like they've took a step down from that.
That one wasn't even that amazing. Brook-Gavin had a top undercard. That is what we should be demanding for our money. Main event was pish but that was what 'stacked' ought to mean. Lots of well matched fights at and above domestic level.
