With Coppinger reporting this is now back on, I can't help but think it's an absolute nightmare for AJ. Not only will he have all the problems Usyk posed last time but he'll go in having lost to him and with virtually the whole world behind Usyk owing to the war. That's a hell of a task.

I have said this long at the beginning. I don't think Usyk and Loma take the right decision at the very beginning. Their careers is pretty much over. For Usyk for sure. He ain't a natural HW, without top training regime and diet, he will lost size, at the very least functional muscle mass, and probably gain fat, if he is not as active as before. His speed, reflexes and everything was already on a decline due to age, and tons of amateur matches, moving to HW very late, injuries and so.
He won't be the same fighter at all if he ever comeback. Next year he will be 36, and with his style of constant movement, high pace, speed and so on he is as good as done.
Loma is 1 year younger, but he won't be the same as well.
Also there is the mental part, that plays a huge role.

I'm sorry to say this, and for some it may sound harsh, but the first thing you should look for, it's your family. This should be your main goal.
Politicians always talks and try to engage as much people as they can, but let's be realistic, they are that "brave" cause they are always on safety. They can destroy a whole nation, but they won't do a thing by themselves. People at the frontlines and actually the poor normal citizen are the ones that paying the price with their lives.
All the "honors" stuffs talk, are just that talk. They won't bring the poor soul back, right ?
The people didn't choose this war, this WAR was forced upon them, by the people at top with power. Everyone should look for their family first and what's best for their lives, not what is the best for some Politicians do****** that doesn't give a ***** about them, and all their care is steal more money or what is good for them.

I feel so bad for Usyk and Loma, but they should have just take their family away from Ukraine long before the war has even started.
They have their residence based in other country and should have stayed in there. No children should watch the horror of a war.

Exactly. Usyk is set and done. He may do a comeback, but he won't be the same fighter. It took him quite awhile to get to the weight he was in the AJ fight.
Gaining weight is one thing, but GETTING the right weight is completely different game.
Usyk as we know it, it's set and done.

The link took me to something from three weeks ago. That's fine, I thought it would be a strange move for both fighters to be honest- certainly inadvisable for AJ.

It is sad to see the careers of Usyk and Loma come to an end like this. Usyk was at the top of his game and Loma hadn't looked better his last two fights. Very sad to see their peaks wasted like this. War sucks.
