I don't think there is truth to that rumour, especially coming from talksport. If AJ for real fight Arreola though i will be disappointed. Nothing wrong with AJ and he doesnt gain anything from fighting such bums. Wallin is a good fight and AJ need to face him.
Fine with this fight if it is not PPV. Joshua has been challenging tough opponents, he could use a past prime opponent.
Just because Arreola says it's happening or has been approached doesn't make it true. Chisora for example has a number of times said a fight is on with an opponent and it hasn't been true s he was trying to put pressure on said fighter to make the fight. Might simply be Arreola fishing for a payday against Joshua. Can't blame him really it would be a career high payday.
'It's fine errrr because he had back to back losses ...' Incredible how people excuse him. He lost to the same guy twice, on points, not even a KD and no KO. There is no excuse for any fight like this except to PROTECT the supposed warrior. Wilder got KO'd flat and then faced Helenius who was in form and beat a contender Arreola lost to. So compared to that, this would be an epic disgrace.
Hearn would love for Joshua to go on a Joe Louis style bum of the month tour .. maybe even on regular DAZN. Obviously not literally every month, but I'm sure Eddie would get him out 4 or 5 times a year against opponents who don't have much in the tank and unlikely to do him any damage. At this stage it might be better than dreaming up PPV fights against borderline acceptable fighters with all the hassle and potential risk that comes with it.
Arreola lost to kownacki . Konwacki lost to helenius . Helenius hit the canvas vs wilder in the 1st . Arreola vs joshua is now the meeega fight !!!
