Hearn: Fury can have Joshua on April 13
By Ray Wheatley – World of Boxing

WBC #3 heavyweight Tyson Fury has been made an offer from Eddie Hearn to challenge WBA, IBF, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua on April 13.

Eddie Hearn: “Fury, you can have the fight on the 13th, you know the terms. It’s not far off an equal split, same as we offered Wilder and fans must not think Joshua doesn’t want the fights. I am not saying if I have made an offer — make of that what you will — but Fury knows the money he’d make.”

It wouldn't surprise me if there's a caveat he's conveniently forgetting to mention.. that Fury has to join Matchroom. Fury knows the 'terms' because they were the terms offered to him when there was an offer on the table from Matchroom before he signed with Warren.

I don't know the exact length, but wasn't Fury's original agreement with Warren a 3 fight deal anyway? Can't remember exactly but I know it's fairly short term.

It's potentially one of the biggest, if not the biggest, British fight in history. Hearn wouldn't want to split the revenues with BT. This would also explain why it seems Hearn made contact with Fury directly, and not via Warren.

Good stuff. This ought to be hard for the Gypsy King to pass up. Whatever the exact percentile, this payday would set him up for life financially.

If he loses sans permanent damage he can rematch Wilder. If he wins, he's a living legend.

Reading between the lines though an offer hasn't been made. Hearn is just saying Fury 'knows the terms' because they were discussed previously before he signed with Warren.

I believe Whyte and Wilder have had formal offers.. Fury hasn't yet. If Wilder doesn't respond or declines then Hearn may make a formal approach to Fury.

My guess is their preference for April 13th is:

    1) Wilder
    2) Fury
    3) Whyte

They know all three fights will sell, a win vs Wilder gives Joshua a massive bargaining position moving forward. Whyte obviously the lowest risk but probably the easiest to negotiate. Personally I don't think there's that much of an appetite for the fight from the public and people will say Joshua is 'ducking' the other two. That narrative is beginning to build now and it's the type of mud that sticks. Hearn won't want that.

The Fury fight is the highest profile of the three - they know it's high risk but the reward outweighs it, especially if they can set up a rematch or a trilogy along the line.

This is Hearn preparing his alibi for why AJ is fighting Miller in April

    Whyte rejected the offer
    Fury rejected the offer
    Wilder wants to fight Breazeale
    Usyk is fighting XYZ instead

That is how he will sell this fight. Its the best available HW at the time who has accepted the challenge to fight AJ.

I personally believe this is a poor attempt by Hearn to put a wedge between Wilder and Fury, and AJ genuinely wants the Wilder fight asap

Wilder wants to settle the score with Fury. He feels the pressure because most of the public believes he lost and they had a gentlemans agreement for the rematch.

Hearn is insinuating that Fury is looking at offers behind Wilders back. In theory this could break the agreement if Fury were trying to be sly.

AJ don't want anything to do with Fury as he realizes Fury is his Everest!!!

Taking Wilder for undisputed is still a 50/50 for AJ.

He doesn't have a chance in hell if Fury gets the belt LOL.

Team AJ see the dream of being undisputed slipping away. Now or never for the bodybuilder ffs I think they may go to 50/50 soon for Wilder LOL

Much rather see joshua vs fury.
Fury vs wilder was a one sided fight.
Let fury clean up the division. Wilder needs to go back to the gym and work, similar to when canelo got outboxed by Lara.

Hearn is no better than ODLH. A complete sleaze bag, with a crappy three-day old yassir arafat beard and a smug attitude. 50-50 it should be.

Yeah right...there's two issues with the fight happening. One is the Wilder rematch needs settling. Fury should only go for Joshua instead if Wilder's side insists on Vegas. The second problem is Frank Warren/BT. They just can't bare the idea of their man being the lesser man in the negotiations. Fury's fine with it, but Frank and BT won't stand for it. Unless Frank removes the 50-50 demand and asks for 55-45 or 60-40, the fight can't take place.

But Fury said he’d fight Joshua for nothing. They all say they want Joshua but in reality they avoid him like the plague.

Fury don't want no part of the bodybuilder. He got knocked down twice against the devastating bronze bomber. Probably get knocked down four times and lose on points against Joshua.

dont really care for splits. i only agree that the fighter who attracts more, gets more %. pretty simple really.

i'd prefer to see Joshua vs fury over any other the other even wilder.
Once fury is out of the way (if aj wins) then it sets up a nice fight against wilder hopefully. No questions from wilder then about a 50/50 split.

but like i say, i'd rather the fight just happen than worry about what either are earning, thats their business. as a fight fan. lets get it on.
