Fury's style has significantly developed in the last couple of years. Chisora, Hammer and Klitschko all barely landed a punch on him or won a round between all 3 of them. Fury is a very, very good fighter. Joshua look poor in his only test vs a novice Dillian Whyte who had less than 10 amateur fights and and fought nobody as a pro. Fury clowns Joshua at this moment in time IMO.
As things stand right now, Fury would outbox him. In a year or two? My money would be on Joshua - as it would against any other HW.
Go ahead you clowns build the burger boy up, next people will be saying he's the next Ali (some I'm sure some already have). It'll just make his brutal loss in a month that much bigger.
Fury had a bad habit of getting into brawls with opponents which is why we've seen him clocked by guys like Cunningham. But recently he's shown more defensive discipline which makes him a much more elusive opponent. I still don't think he's a defensive wizard but he's not an easy opponent to get to when he's on his bike and uses his reach. I think Joshua would struggle against a defensive minded Fury. If Fury brawls he gets KO'ed quickly which is why Fury wouldn't risk such a game plan. Joshua unlike Wlad can let his hands go but he still has to deal with that movement and Savon and Dychko showed in the Olympics that Joshua doesn't do so well when forced to chase a mobile opponent. At this stage I'd still favour Fury, too experienced, too much of a style advantage. But Joshua is improving and a year or 2 from now it could be a different fight as Joshua matures and hits his prime.
Right now Fury outboxes him but Joshua Is steadily improving, in a year or so I think he has the beating of Fury. Interested to see what Fury does next after he beats Wlad for the 2nd time.
Interesting that nobody seems to be think Fury could knock AJ out. He's got shaky whiskers himself and whilst you'd favor him in a fire fight due to his massive power advantage it may not come to that if Fury can land a big enough shot to gain his respect first.
this is a fight I would love to see. Fury is not some massive ko guy. however, in boxing anything can happen.
