You're right if this was a normal show, but Froch v Groves is now all about selling more PPVs to the general public. We'll all watch regardless. General sports fans are 100x more likely to tune in to watch AJ vs. Audley than some bloke they've never heard of and are likely to never hear of again in the future.

 

Pointless fight. Audley is an irrelvance and I cant understand why he keeps getting payday after payday when he keeps proving himself to be completely useless!

I've read this many times over the years, like when he faced Wilder or Haye but see to KO someone you actually have to throw a meaningful punch.

 

To be honest, this is a bit of a pointless fight for Joshua.

Price and Wilder had him out in 1 round, he didn't throw 1 shot against Haye then got taken out when Haye decided to turn it on.

Joshua needs rounds under his belt, not going in against people he will blow away.

 

This is a huge step up

Southpaw has hit the nail,for the casual fan the USP is that the fight is between two British heavy weight Olympic gold medalists unique.If aud wins it doesn't do him any good because he is fighting a novice and probably doesn't do Josh much harm.......there is a certain novelty value!
