Fury would pitter-patter away from the outside making AJ look lost for long periods. He'd also win 3 rounds max with that approach.
Lol Hughie didnt even have the brass balls to plant his feet against against a non puncher like Parker. AJ wins as Hughie suffers a heart failure and collapses in the ring, once his throws his first straight right hand. Or more likely AJ chases him around the ring for 12 rounds, then Hughie cries robbery afterwards because he was punching at fresh air before running away. Oh that happened already against Parker.
He is probably his biggest nightmare, but not for anything he'd do in the ring. The fight would struggle to sell out my front living room and would tank on PPV. As for what goes on in the ring, it would be probably as difficult to watch as Fury/Klitschko was. Joshua would be advancing all night, whilst Hughie 'Shades of Ali' (maybe this was in relation to wearing the same sunglasses and we've all taken the comment out of context?) would be back peddling occasionally flicking out a jab. Punch stats for the fight would be interesting, Hughie would like throw around 50 punches, for the entire fight, 48 being jabs thrown with zero conviction and two right hands he didn't commit to which also miss wildly. I think that would be a fight I wouldn't even watch on basic cable let alone PPV. I do think that Hughie could make it to the final bell though, providing he does he best Mayweather/Baldomir 12th round impression for every round.
i'd accept hughie as a late replacement for joshua in a fight or something. i cant see hughie giving AJ many problems
Pretty pathetic that you haven’t put Hughie KO as an option. Not really fussed, you’ll be made to look stupid eventually. When Hughie destroys Pulev watch the hordes of idiots on this forum jump on his bandwagon.
both Fury's are potential nightmares for Joshua. Where Tyson could win a decision however, no way Hughie would get the nod. Joshua will look horrible against a mobile target. Unfortunately, only 3 people have decent/quick feet in the division.
Hughie gets embarrassed. Over the course of the ensuing weeks he realises he is a Brit level fighter. Struggles to come to terms with this realisation and slowly disappears from view. Last seen in Costa Del Sol sat outside a 1 bed apartment villa gazing into the horizon wondering how he could have been so stupid thinking he was a world beater.
Only if you count those tag connections as punches. Hughie Parker was a shameful performance for a fight.
Was, and still am, to an extent, very keen on Hughie's talent. He defo wanted no part of Whyte which was a red herring to me as I don't rate Whyte at all. I remember him turning down Wilder several years back too, but if I remember correctly, it was relatively short notice - something that Wilder was notorious for back then. He turned down an offer to fight AJ before Breazeale or Molina. I think it was Molina. I remember Peter saying the offer was 'peanuts'. They didn't want no part of Joyce, which you could argue was understandable. I was saying on here weeks and weeks before the first scheduled Parker fight that it wasn't going to happen. It was blatantly obvious from the body language of Team Fury and Warren whenever that fight was brought up to them. I'm pretty sure IIRC that it potentially had something to do with the drug test thing. I think there is a problem with Hughie's confidence, or at least, there WAS a problem. This is a risky fight he is taking against Pulev. A fighter who Whyte & Miller wanted no part of. I'd much rather see Hughie vs AJ than either Whyte or Miller, although I think Joshua wins.
