Only six weeks now until the fight. Not had many competitive fights at the top level since Klitschko fought Fury in 2015. This is Joshua's first competitive fight as a professional, does anyone think this will effect him going in to this fight, or during this fight?
How do you think Joshua beats Klitschko? And how do you think Klitschko can beat Joshua? I will make a poll to see were everyone's head is at with only side weeks to go.

Wlad fights one way, get off first, then clinch or move to prevent a counter. Wlad doesn't counter punch, he doesn't move well enough laterally to keep aggressive fighters at arms length, getting off first and then being able to clinch will be how he beats Joshua. He needs to start fast, be assertive and control the pace of the fight, look to land the left hook over Joshua's right hand which he has a bad habit of dropping in his previous fights.

Joshua wins by not allowing Wlad to fight his type of fight. He needs to beat Wlad to the punch, if he is forced into a role of catching and countering which he has been working on in recent fights, he'll strugglle. Even if he can catch Wlad's lead shot, Wlad will smother any follow up shot. Joshua needs to be first, be aggressive, out jab Wlad as Wlad relies heavily on that punch. Do not drop the right hand when throwing it like he has done in the past. Be rough in the clinches, make it a physical fight, tire out the older man.

I'm favouring Joshua. I think his usual more aggressive style will allow him to be the one to control the pace of the fight, while Wlad's tendency to slow the pace of the fight to his pace won't be as effective as it will allow Joshua to be the one to set the pace. It's one thing to smother a smaller man like Povetkin, it's harder against a fighter who is just as big and strong.

Wouldn't shock me if Wlad won though, Joshua's tendency to drop his right leaving him open to the left hook means Wlad only needs to land once cleanly with the left hook. Even durable fighters have been dropped and KO'ed by that punch, Wlad will always be one good left hook away from victory even when losing.

Wladimir cracks Joshua way harder than Whyte did. Klitschko KO's him within 7

Not impossible as I said. Though if Wlad does KO Joshua with the left hook, it won't be like when Whyte caught Joshua coming in. Wlad doesn't counter punch, in a similar situation where Joshua is going in for the kill like he was against Whyte, Wlad isn't going to look to fire back when under pressure and catch Joshua with a left hook counter. Under that kind of pressure he'll just smother and try to survive.

If Wlad KO'ed Joshua with the left hook it will be more like the Pulev fight. He'll get off first, leaping in landing the left hook.

I kind of see a lead right hand starting the trouble then a feint left followed by the 1-2. BAM! Right down the pipe. Joshua has never tasted that.

While Wlad has the better right hand, I don't really see Joshua having a susceptibility to that punch like the left hook. Watch Joshua against Breazeale, he drops his right hand when he goes to throw the right all the time, he was literally begging to be caught with a left hook. He did the same against Whyte when caught with the left hook counter that staggered him.

I think Wlad sees this flaw as well and will be looking to exploit it if he can. Question is can he get off first consistently enough to land it. Dancing on the outside and leaping in may have worked against a similar jab and grabber style fighter like Pulev, but Joshua has a different style.

I think he will concentrate on establishing a hard, sharp jab first to get that respect and keep Joshua honest. Then start hooking off it. I have a feeling that straight right will find a home because I think Joshua will be worried about the left hook more than anything. But Wlad can't be hesitant. He's got to keep that HARD jab out there and when he's sees openings let them go. Get that respect early

I agree that the jab is crucial for both men and that Wlad can't be hesitant. Being hesitant will allow Joshua to fight his kind of fight, Wlad needs to assert himself early, Joshua is stepping up and will be nervous, Wlad needs to show early on who the boss is.

But I don't think Wlad has the same jab he used to have. Out jabbed by Fury and Pulev, struggled to land it consistently against Jennings, I think Joshua has the better jab now, simply because Wlad paws with it too much now. But maybe Wlad will surprise me and do what Lewis did in the rematch with Rahman and put on his best display of jabbing to date.

No idea at the moment. It's a coin toss fight and it depends imho on how much Wlad has left.

Corrie was a old fat bum and stopped Wlad in two easy rounds. What do you think 250 pound power puncher like the world has never seen before going to do to him. Think about it. Corrie did it in two rounds AJ will do it in one easy round. This is not even a competitive fight just a warm up for Wilder.

I see this 60:40 in AJs favor. I think AJ's the real deal, has everything that a young Wlad had. Now AJ has youth and potentially hunger and ambition over Wlad.

If Wlad wins this, good, he will get full respect for coming back to the top in the twilight of his career.

Think we will know the answer after the first 2 rounds. Does wlad have anything left and will he fight with fear like he did against Fury?

Nobody really knows but a top notch Wlad would beat Joshua imo

You dumb miserable casual. Saunders was the dark horse of the division at the time. A tyson fury but with far greater power in his hands.

If he were in this era he'd crack Joshua's overgrown roid jaw wide open with in a round or 2 without taking any damage as that's how awkward and crafty he was.

I'm not a casual I've been to a boxing match before. I watched AJ become the world champion destroying Martin in only two rounds. Wlad never beat a world champion in only two rounds. Corrie was fat like Johnson and look what AJ did to Johnson would of been a one round job if the ref did his job properly.
