Excellent points made which I agree with ,but I'm picking Joshua based on Wlad's age and inactivity. Let's just, as you say get a great fight!

Good work Rummy. You have an easy going every man's type of style, and I want to give you props on why Wlad didn't beat Fury. You're right Fury's herky-jerky keep moving style that is hard to time was a big factor. That and his reach. A very mobile target is hard for any older heavyweight to catch.

A few things. Joshua is a little stiff, doesn't move his head and is open to the right hand. He will be much easier for Wlad to find and could have problems setting his feet and punching back as Wlad is a mobile big man with circling ability.

Joshua seems to take his foot off the gas a bit in the mid rounds and might be too muscle bound, meaning the excess bulk will demand more oxygen in the later rounds. His stamina is untested. I think he can go 12 rounds if things are going his way, but if they aren't who knows?

There are some hot rumors that Joshua has been KO'd in sparring and hurt on other occasions. He's not denying it ( which means it likely happened ), and also admitted that David " glass " Price hurt him when Price was a professional and Joshua was about to become one.

Chins do not magically get better once a fighter turns professional, and if Joshua has any clinch and survival skills, I really have not seen them.

Wlad is 41 and out of the ring for over a year. This is true. A loss would not hurt his legacy at all.

Some uncovered ground...Wlad seems unusually confident for this match. He's always in good shape and has had some quick and brutal KO's over big men who lack defense ( Jefferson Austin, and Pulev ). And like you said, Joshua lines up best for the way he likes to fight.

Fans have underestimated Wlad's mental's resolve for years, and I believe it's his mental frame of mind is the key for him. That and let your hands go!

I pick Wlad, though it's not an easy pick to make. 75% of what he was in hs prime should do it here, as he still has great power.

Larry Merchant said it best. Sometimes we see fighters get old in the ring, and you never know exactly when it will happen.

So barring an early bomb landed by either man, we shall see.

Good video. I also think Wlad has enough left to beat the Robotic AJ. Stylistically this is an easier fight than Fury. AJ will plod forward and open up a lot more which will favour Wlad. I think crafty old Wlad will smother AJ's work before eventually catching him with a heavy counter knocking him out inside 6 rounds.

An ATG should never be counted out of any match. But as already mentioned Wladimir Klitschko is 41 year old and hasn't fought since 2015. In addition, his power and effectiveness has waned in recent years. Meanwhile Anthony Joshua for all his unanswered questions is very likely the best opponent Wlad's faced in a decade or more, with the one possible exception of Povetkin but that's not even certain.. I've been wrong in my predictions before but something tells me that Wlad's prospects aren't very good here.

I'm not too fussy who wins. I'm not a huge fan of Wlad's boring style but it would be good to see the old master shut up the AJ fanboys and UK casual fans who think he's a cross between Ali and Mike Tyson (I read that on twitter). It would also be good to see AJ win and go on to prove he's the real deal.

Let me revise my statement.. He's better than anyone Wlad has "beaten" in recent years and for all we know might even be better than Fury as well.

Maybe. I think AJ would really struggle with the Fury of the Wlad fight. I might change my mind on that eventually though. Depends how AJ progresses.

I will watch your video later, you have good analysis, it's a joy listening to you.

Here is my prediction in short..

I see joshua stopping wlad... Young, hungry, big, hard punching... Wlad has never faced a big athletic, fast, hard punching boxer like joshua... And now he is past prime, even more difficult for him..

Joshua ko early to mid rounds

Changing of the guard. Waldo should have hung up the gloves a while back. You can't beat Father Time. And tho he looks body beautiful, his timing is gone. The openings are flying past his ability to react. Opponents aren't going to sit around and play his game at the end of the jab when they don't risk much by closing the gap.

    Could be ugly.

I hope the old warhorse has it in him for one last throw of the dice.

If he somehow unifies at this age it would be something worth seeing.

Who has AJ beaten? Wlad has beaten better opponents by far. Joshua's title defenses would not rate among Wlads best 10 title defenses!

One cool thing about this match is if AJ looses he's young enough to rebound and if Wlad at age 41 looses it won't affect his legacy at all.

I do not think you need good timing to hit Joshua. Just nerve to throw the punch.
