AJ will not rush Ngannou like Fury tried to. I think AJ will out box him break him down and stop him in about 6 rounds.

Also, he'll train properly and take it seriously. AJ mid-rounds KO sounds about right to me, yes.

And has the power to keep Ngannou honest.

Probably not enough to knock him out, but a lot more than Fury and that's enough to make it a completely different fight.

Much like their respective Wallin bouts... AJ did and will take it more seriously, and make it more decisive.

I still think it'll be points - but it'll be wide, uncontroversially wide.

I'm going against the grain here...

    Ngannou by late KO.

I dreamed 2 weeks ago that Joshua KOed Ngannou in the second round. It was from an overhand right counter timed as Ngannou came forward while loading up his own right hand. The punch landed high on the chin/temple area and Ngannou was gone.

I've never seen Ngannou get his chin cracked when he was facing kicks, elbows and 4oz gloves in MMA. Fury threw a blatant elbow himself and Ngannou reacted like it was a breeze. I can see AJ outpoint him ala Ruiz II but I don't see him cracking that iron chin.

what so many people get wrong about Francis is that he's used to dodging more weapons in mma.

He knows the art of engagement, controlling range. He's use to dodging kicks, knees, elbows, and anticipating the takedown and sprawling. Boxing is a lot easier for Francis to worry about, that is not to say he isn't hittable, but he's not a dummy that is going to let Aj tee off on him, soon as AJ gets within range, he either throws a check hook to stand his ground or he clinches him and tries to sneak a looping hook from close range. Aj isn't going to be that happy to get into a phonebooth fight, he's going to do what Fury did. Play the jab and move game, really the only way to beat Francis is to throw low volume and point him from the outside. I do think Aj has those tools to point Francis. But Francis has the power to score knockdowns and steal rounds from Aj who is a bit chinny, altho I expect Aj to get off and recover. I'm really not expecting a fun boxing match, I'm expecting a low volume boxing match where two guys hesitate and exchange jabs.

I don't see a ko on Aj side, i think he's a point win and Francis is ko or bust.

Ngannou hasn't taken anything on the button like what AJ will hit him with. Most of what Ngannou has taken in mma hasn't been bang on the jaw. Show me otherwise. AJ might carry Ngannou a little while to give the Saudis value for money but if he turns it on he'll go through Ngannou like a dodgy kebab after 10 pints then hopefully all this mma crossover nonsense might stop.

I'm gonna say it goes the distance and AJ wins on points.

Lol that's almost verbatim to what people were saying Fury would do to him.

If AJ can KO Ngannou I'll give him all the props because he would deserve it for such a feat but it feels like Groundhogs Day with some people again overlooking Ngannou.

If AJ loses, he should retire. Plain and simple. Fury had an excuse, came in fat and unprepared because he thought Ngannou was a walk in the park. AJ now has film on Francis, and should be able to assemble a plan to beat the guy. If not, and he loses, AJ should call it quits because he'd be shamed worse than anyone else in boxing history. Far exceeds David Hayes Toe issue. OR Wilder's My Costume was too Heavy.
