Joshua vs Ortiz in 2018

Ortiz would land heavily on Joshua. Eddeh clearly didn't want any part of him in 2018. I'd have to favor the Cubano southpaw of 7 years ago, he was very confident with the 0.

Ironically Wilder gets criticized for his resume but an undefeated Ortiz would be Joshua's 2nd or 3rd best win. They didn't want it.

There’s nothing to suggest that Ortiz is the better boxer. AJ has always demonstrated that he has more skills and against better opposition. The only tool Ortiz has is a strong counter left.

 

Jab, movement, timing all favor Ortiz...there's nothing to suggest Joshua is a better boxer. His only dominant boxing win is 283lb blob Andy.

 

You're right - I remember there was rumours of AJ fighting Ortiz after he beat Wlad but both fighters had other plans really.

 

Ortiz had cement feet and a slow measuring, jab. His power and timing were good, but that’s it, he never outboxed anyone of note. He also lost against Ruiz as well so it’s odd that you brought him up.
