I thought Hearn said 70/30 wouldn't be fare on Parker?? So he should be happy at 65/35 AJ if even his promoter is saying it !

I hope Parker is satified with his payday. This is an easy fight for AJ.

I think you will find Hearn said 75/25 wouldn't be fair.

Parker wants this fight and has pursued it relentlessly. He holds a title and is prepared to settle for 35/65. If Joshua doesn't take the fight on those terms some serious questions need to be directed his way.

At this stage I suspect it won't happen. It's becoming pretty clear how confident Wilder is about fighting AJ, and then how confident AJ is about fighting Parker.

It's funny hearing Hearn saying "this will be Parker's chance this year"... actually Hearn, it's the other way around. If Parker doesn't get the fight this year then it's likely he will face some more known names, beat them and raise his stocks as realistically a lot of the "names" and "ranked guys" he could choose from are actually not as bad for his style as Hughie Fury - he's likely to have an easier time against pretty much any potential opponent barring MAYBE Povetkin (who AJ is likely going to have to face as a mandatory before Parker does). When the unification talk comes around next time Team Parker will only have more leverage for the split

Yeah he said that 75/25 would be under valuing Parker and they've also said it's also down to a single digit disparity to agree on a split which means Hearns has at the very least offered Parker a 74/26 split as that's a single digit difference from what Parker wants. I suspect Hearn as offered them a 70/30 split but Higgins is holding out for that 35%.

Personally whether it's 65/35 or 70/30, I think both are fair, it will just come down to who is willing to budge. Higgins has come down 5% while Hearn has come up a least 6% from the 80/20 number he threw out early on.

If the fight doesn't get made I think both sides will have some serious questions to answer. Joshua fanboys will say Parker didn't deserve 35% and mock his next payday saying he could of made 10 times that if he manned up to fight Joshua. Parker fanboys will say Joshua is ducking and hiding behind the split demand. But fact is neither fighters fans will be happy.

Higgins went on the attack against Joshua's claims that he wants to become the undisputed world champion while also trying to achieve a legacy in boxing the way Roger Federer had done in tennis.

"If Anthony says he wants to be the Roger Federer of boxing, can you imagine Roger Federer saying I want to win all the Grand Slams, but I won't play Wimbledon unless

3% FFS, get it done Eddie and AJ. You already have the UK based fight, the rematch clause, the date option....

There's no chance of AJ/Hearn giving Parker 35%. The damage it could do in all future negotiations is too big a risk to take.

Yeah I'd hate to see these unification fights not happen. It might take one of them looking beatable to scare them into making the fights.

If that's accurate then Hearn is offering a 68/32 split which is more than I expected. Higgins has done well to get Hearn to come up 12%. Maybe all this talk of him being out of his depth was unwarranted.

If Hearn has offered 68/32 I'd say that's fairly reasonable.

What Hearn may or may not have offered has never been made public. All we have heard from Hearn is him declining what Duco and Parker say they would accept.

All we can do is guess that the two camps are somewhere between 75/25, which even Hearn admits isn't enough, and 65/35 which Hearn says they won't accept.

Single digit difference doesn't mean 1%. It means 9% or less.

True which is why I said Hearn has at least 74/26 in my previous post based of that single digit comment. But if what Higgins is saying is accurate and there is just 3% between them then the 68/32 offer is accurate. Though of course we are just speculating as we don't know if what Higgins said was accurate or just some random number he threw out there to make Hearn look bad.

Povetkin is in process of choosing which mandatory shot to take, the WBA or WBO.

75/25 is a fair split it will be Parker's highest pay day and if he really thinks he can win the fight he should take it. The heavyweights need to understand now that Wlad has retired AJ is the king and they must bow down. The only guy who can demand a bigger purse is Fury if he ever comes back.
