Joshua by mid-late stoppage, perhaps round 9. I'm not 100% confident of the outcome like I was before the Takam fight (because Joshua's stamina is a big question mark) but Parker doesn't have the power, attack variety or the stamina to get Joshua out of there and his defence isn't good enough (although his head movement has improved) to keep away from Joshua forever. Parker isn't very good on the back foot and therefore I can't see him outboxing Joshua to a points win. Joshua stoppage for me.

In terms of the split, I think 70-30 is fair. Hopefully this fight gets made now (although I'm not too confident about that).

Yeah, I mean Takam was cut over both eyes and lost every round to Joshua, so I'm sure that opens the door for a Parker win.

Makes all the sense in the world.

The perfect kind of fight to demonstrate the 'levels' within the sport.

Parker couldn't hurt novice Hughie Fury...he couldn't even land on him.

Joshua took Takam apart for 10 rounds. Causing a knock down, severe cuts above both eyes and causing Takam to wobble many times.

    Easy fight for AJ.

Ermmm I'm not really en economics fan, more of a boxing fan.

What I want is the best to fight the best now.

If there's capacity to make a Joshua vs Parker fight, there's capacity to make a Joshua vs Wilder fight.

Whomever wins will be a worthy champion. I'd favor Joshua, but not by a big margin.

According to resumes, Parker is ahead of Wilder on the 'boxing fan' scale of 'best'.

Unfortunately economics have to come into this, this fight will happen both parties are just maximising revenue and if we get 2 unification bouts in 2018 and the division gets unified who cares which order they come in really ?

The same way economics came into it when Juanma and Gamboa were trying to unify?

The same economics that meant Mayweather vs Pacman was about 5 years too late?

The same economics that meant Bowe vs Lewis never happened?

The fight is big now, anything getting in the way is nonsense that us boxing fans shouldn't accept.

Individually "Rating" opponents goes against your view of having the "Best vs Best".

Currently, Parker has fought top 10 opponents and wins against top 10 opponents.

Therefore, in a "Best vs Best" scenario, he goes ahead of Wilder.....

If Fury was active, Wilder would only be 4th.

Wilder has been in the pro game twice as long as Joshua.

He's from the self-proclaimed 'mecca' of boxing....the USA.

"Economics" shouldn't come into it...but it's Wilder's fault it has, he never ever stepped up.

Doesn't really go against my view at all.

I haven't seen any rankings with Parker > Wilder.

But more importantly for me as a fan of the sport, I don't have Parker > Wilder so obviously I want Wilder vs Joshua next.

Parker's level of opponent is way above Wilder's.

In fact he has fought many of the "awkward" and difficult fighters that others avoid.

I cant see anything other than a Joshua victory in this one. I do like Parker he is an all round classy respectful fighter but i just dont think he is good enough. Certainly dont think he beats Joshua on points but hes got got some nice shots in him and anybody can be rocked or hurt in this division.
