Some years ago there were a couple of posters here saw it as some kind of status symbol to be able to pay for far overpriced PPV's en tickets. You can't make that s__t up!
I compared it to paying $25 for a hamburger... I like hamburgers, but if they charge me 25 for it, I say thanks but no thanks.

Probably Joshua's alt. The question that I need answered is what is the potential gate if both fight each other in America?

Based on the facts of what we know.....

Considering Wilder or Joshua are not PPV stars in the US....The US potential gate is nothing more than a guess.

What we do know, is that for the gate in the US to be higher than that in the UK, it will have nothing to do with the relevance of Wilder......it will have to be a result of a casino offering a ridiculous sum of cash to stage the fight.

So, a casino could offer $1,000,000,000 or $0.....

Currently, based off of PPV sales and ticket sales of their past fights, there's no doubt that the fight generates more money in the UK.

Joshua puts asses in the seats for sure. But Joshua is way overrated . I don't think Parker is that but with as weak as Joshua's chin is and his stamina problems who knows.

    'Stamina issues'?

There's only one guy who fails to knock out c/d grade opponents past 6 whilst the other can KO grade a/b guys.

Joshua's KO rate helps when refs stop his opponents while they are still fighting back. Stopping the fight against Parker when he unleashed 20 unanswered shots (which were hit and miss) would have made more sense than stopping the fight after less than half that from Joshua which were all actively dodged and blocked.

So youre referring to 1 fight in takam?

Where he was likely going to be KO'd anyway.....

Nah I've seen other ones where I've raised an eyebrow - just the Takam one was SO severe, I'd need to go back through to verify. Joshua is likely to have been gassed as hell after his effort on Takam who was very likely to last the round, the 11th will likely have had to have been a "round off" for AJ given it was only the second time he's gone that late and he has gassed after lesser efforts than he made trying to put Takam away.

Klitschko was probably a bit debatable as well, but I am pretty sure there are others where people were on two feet. I can't think of any Parker stoppages where the opponent is still properly on his feet.

Takam only had himself to blame for that stoppage, he should have fought back instead of purely trying to evade. Once he got caught a couple of times and his head was spinning around like a pin ball the ref was always going to stop the fight..

Wlad was lucky he got as many chances as he did because he was defiantly wobbly after the first time he went down..

    Takam one was 'severe'?

If you don't want to get stopped don't get beat up for 11 rounds and offer no resistance.

I see it in American fights far more often, where the ref always says 'You gotta show me something'.....

Takam didn't for 11 rounds, it probably would have been stopped earlier in the US.

Who on earth thinks that if Joshua and Wilder fought in the US they would struggle to make "ends meet?"

Is this the 1920s? Big gates are great. No doubt. But since the advent of TELEVISION gates are secondary. Have you ever heard of Television?

    Jesus Christ.

Wilder-Joshua could sell 50,000 PPVs in the US (the worst PPV buy rate in history) and make more than a 50,000 gate in the UK. Who cares?

You must have been watching a different fight, there were a few close rounds and Takam officially won one of them. That doesn't happen when you are offering no resistance.
