Povetkin is very hittable for Joshua, my posts explains why. Its a terrible match up just like the other shorter guys like Parker, Takam...all for different reasons. You guys keep claiming Joshua gasses out yet he's winning practically every round and that's BC he's throwing punches.... You cannot win rounds if you are gassing out! Heroes are in comic books, I'm sticking to boxing.
Uhhhhh.... You can gas out and still win rounds... Especially when you get 2-3 VERY questionable breathers. What the hell are you smoking?
I'm not saying I want AJ-Pov to delay AJ-Wilder, but I really want to see Povetkin fight AJ, Wilder, or Fury.
You're incorrect with many things there my friend! 'Batters' him is an understatement. Anthony Joshua squashes Alexander Povetkin as if Povetkin was a small insect / ant / bug / grape. It's similar to an elephant or a bear, fighting a little ant / insect / bug. And in this scenario, Anthony Joshua is the elephant / bear whilst Povetkin is this little ant / insect / bug. Joshua also doesn't need to even train for this fight whatsoever. No sparring required. He doesn't need to take Povetkin seriously at all whatsoever. Simply because, no matter what Povetkin does, Joshua is at such a high level that he can simply swat Povetkin away, as if he was some kind of a fly. The fight between Povetkin and Joshua isn't going to happen because I don't even think he beats David Price in all honesty. Too much physical size and strength for Povetkin to overcome. Anthony Joshua's big muscles, physical size and physical strength are unparalleled for the heavyweight division and is too otherworldly for the blown up, 6 foot 0, pudgy and chubby light heavyweight in Alexander Povetkin to overcome. This is a gruesome / disgusting mismatch that simply shouldn't happen because it is human rights violation against Alexander Povetkin. I don't see this fight lasting more than 30 seconds. Povetkin gets turned into lentil soup in the first 30 seconds by super heavyweights like Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury.
Why an Earth in heaven's sake would you want to see a 6 foot 0, blown up feather fisted light heavyweight fighting against REAL and GENUINE Super heavyweights like Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury when both those SUPER-HEAVYWEIGHTS can just squash him like a little bug / insect / ant / grape? Do you condone animal torture or a human getting slaughtered like an animal? Putting Povetkin against the likes of Joshua is as cruel as animal torture or torturing a human by tying them up. It's against human rights! The poor, hopeless guy shouldn't even be allowed to compete in the heavyweight division. He doesn't deserve this torture and is going to probably sacrifice years from his life, just for a payday. What are some people thinking?
I think Povetkin a few years ago would have made this 50/50. I favour AJ by UD or maybe late stoppage (how I see the Parker fight too)
I hope Alexander Povetkin doesn't even think about fighting any of those guys. Especially Anthony Joshua because it'd just be cruel, disgusting and a gruesome mismatch against Povetkin who is going to probably sacrifice years from his life, just for a payday. He is physically too weak and small to be anything more than a minor nuisance. I don't even think he beats David Price in all honesty. Too much physical size and strength for Povetkin to overcome. Putting Povetkin against the likes of Joshua is as cruel as animal torture or torturing a human by tying them up. It's against human rights! The poor, hopeless guy shouldn't even be allowed to compete in the heavyweight division.
I've always thought that from a styles perspective that Povetkin could be a nightmare for AJ. Although reflecting back on his last couple of fights, I think the chances I've been given him to beat AJ should probably be scaled down a little. He hasn't looked bad, I don't think. But he looks less explosive and less powerful for sure. Obviously that's a mixture of age and maybe not being dosed up (please I really don't want to talk about his ped stuff because half the stuff I read say actually nothing bad happened and the other half say he's a proven cheat, so I just don't want that debate right now) but for sure he doesn't look the same as he did regardless. I still think it's a decent fight though, assuming he gets past BIG PRICEY
Bubba I'm too damn southern as hell to understand the **** you're playing at. You're serious? Grown ass man serious?
You think a 6'0 pudgy heavyweight that's not necessarily elusive posses a problem to a 6"6 giant with one of the deadliest uppercut in all of boxing. Did you see Povetkin vs Klitschko? Honestly, what kind of weed are some of you smoking.
