Povetkin is quite old already (38) indeed and out of those PEDs now. How on earth is he supposed to beat Joshua, I also don't know...

Yes. At worst, I would say Povetkin of a few years ago certainly had the potential to cause some real problems. I think he does better than Takam

It's boxing, he's ranked, and I reckon him a counterfeit. Time to take out the trash I say.

Povetkin is a bit old now, I think his time has passed, however he will still be a threat, but you'd have to bet on AJ.

Tough fight. Povetkin still needs to be classed in that top group of fighters. Although with stricter drug testing and his age he is definatly on his last legs. Wlad dealt with him big time but Joshua isnt Wlad and although similar in physicality doesnt do things the same way. My money would be on AJ but even though he cleaned up rounds wise he wasnt comfortable with Takam up so close to him all night. But then Joshua does seem to soak up the experience and will of learned alot from that fight. Well i hope he did he really needs to tighen up on his in close tanglings. Needs to be tieing them up and leaning on them.

How cruel and uncompassionate of you!

In all seriousness though, I think it'd be / would've been best if Alexander Povetkin moved down to cruiser weight. I think he has done the best that anybody his size could possibly ever hope to do in the modern heavyweight division that is full of athletic and skilled super sized heavyweights. Unless you think there exists a boxer who is shorter than 6 foot 4 inches in height, that can do even better in the heavyweight division than Povetkin did?

Otherwise, he is facing severe mismatches size wise.

A single ant or a mouse can never be a 'threat' to an elephant or a dinosaur. That's how much of a mismatch this is!

Povetkin gets squashed like a bug / little insect / grape by any super heavyweight.
