Well I'm from the UK but you won't ever hear me getting nationalistic about a boxer for the sake of it. AJ has been tested once I believe in the Dillain Whyte fight when that version of Whyte would of done ok against a few heavyweights. Even though his resume isn't up to much I still think I've seen enough to suggest he'll beat Pulev as the Pulev I saw against Chisora to me looked pretty poor,AJ to me looks another level above Pulev,if you look at the improvements with each fight with AJ he seems to show something new each time which is all one can ask of a boxer learning his trade,I'd expect a knock out for AJ in round six or seven?
This is almost exactly what I was going to say, Joshua has been improving and Pulev looking worse (though still better than anything Joshua has faced) than he has. Still a good solid opponent to face as a voluntary, I'd be impressed if they CHOSE someone that good for that little reward. If I were Hearn I'd be looking to raise profile in the States I'd set Joshua on Jarrell Miller, the hype is high for him over there and Joshua would murder him - would set the scene for a Wilder vs Joshua fight in the new year.
Prime Pulev would've won easily. Unfortunately he's a shadow of his former self, so AJ has a very good chance. Even with Pulev on such a decline, this would still be AJ's toughest test by far.
Didn't you pick Martin to KO AJ? You're the last person that should talking AJ picks....your agenda against AJ is just ridiculous, close to rivaling Duckvelvets agenda against Wlad
I think you are a very clever person, with excellent understanding of boxing, but your opinion about Joshua is an exception. Clear underrating. Why ?
wlad was hitting him becos that clown was walking straight into his punches with his arms framing his head wide open. pulev best win = waiting for 40something former middling contender to gass out so that he could stop being outboxed and move in to ko the puffing billy. this is not the stuff of a serious contender. It would be another prospect outside the top ten if we werent in the weakened K bro era.
Lol. When exactly has Pulev EVER been any good? Hell this is the same dude that got clowned by a past his prime Wlad. Anyway AJ wins easily.
You really are dense, aren't you? I hope you don't take everything in life as seriously as you take me? Stay out of Lep and I's conversations you humorless bleating curmudgeon.
It's not clear underrating, I'm a contrarian by nature and the clear overrating annoys me, his skill level isn't impressive enough to go ape**** over, its easy to look amazing against no hopers and face first defenseless plodders, he's yet to face anyone with anything resembling a skill set, and based on Whyte's outing against Allen, with a punch. Pulev is an intelligent fighter, despite how poorly he performed against Wlad, he let his passion get the best of him, the only thing AJ has going for him aside from his flurries is a decent jab, that Pulev could possibly easily neutralize, "but Pulev got rocked by Chisora", who says AJ wouldn't be rocked by Chisora as well, Whyte seems to be Chisora level, maybe worse and he rocked AJ. And as its clearly been seen lately AJ's power is a tad bit overrated, Pulev could take his shots long enough to figure him out.
