I think he’ll box carefully and ease his way into the fight. After a few rounds he’ll step it up with some combos, put extra pressure on and stop him quite late. Joshua will be very aware he has lost fans to Fury and he’ll know even more knowledgeable fans than before will have reservations. This is a great opportunity to make a statement by looking explosive like he used to. It comes with risks but if he softens Pulev up a bit early he should be able to do it. Let’s not forget he only lost to Ruiz because of his own stupidity. So he’ll always be cautious now and that will come at a cost as he’ll lose more casual fans.
Pulev is old and way past his best but outside of AJ and Fury I wouldn't confidently pick anybody to beat him. Shows how the talent hasn't improved from the Wlad era really.
What’s this? A matchroom heavy feasting on a shot to pieces old name midget from the eastern BLOC you say? Which red button do I click and when.. Is this on the ZONE? If so that means three options to watch this pay twenty five pounds to sky Pay one pound and Change to the ZONE go fishing for the night, no charge as a die hard sky season ticket holder I’ll be clicking on red and handing over my money with PRIDE
Joshua will KO him. I understand why people are saying they think Joshua will box cautiously and take his time with this but I really wouldn't be surprised if he KO'd Pulev early, even in the first round.
6 round KO for AJ Height and reach will be in his favour. Keep it long let the old man feel the weight for a bit and then start upping the work intensity. If Pulev cant get to AJ with the jab he has almost 0 chance of winning.
Think Joshua will out jab him, beating him to it every time, softening him up over a few rounds, then start setting the trap like he did with Povetkin. Think he’ll knock him over around 8-10.
I can't see Pulev getting to half way in this one. Joshua will have a look at his jab in the first couple of rounds, learn to time it and counter with his own left and increasingly heavy one - twos. Pulev will get broken up and stopped sometime from the fourth depending on how much he wants to take.
I see that the odds for Pulev winning this are 7/1. The odds for Ruiz Jr winning the first fight were 14/1. My money is on Pulev, however unlikely he is to win.
I'll always stick a few quid on the underdog against Joshua now. Will stick £20 on Pulev for the win but I expect AJ to win by decision.
AJ via stoppage in 7 rounds why do I think this fight won’t happen and one of them tests positive for COVID this week
