AJ looks TERRIFIED Naaaah only joking, looks in fantastic shape, leaner, which is a good thing and full of confidence.
Actually, AJ looks irritated and a little rattled (not frightened), I have no idea why.. it's not making sense to me, why let Pulev bother you? I don't know if it's a show to hype the fight and a potential future Fury fight.. the narrative is now this is a "New AJ", all this talk of a civilised and uncivilised AJ.. I'm not buying that because Ruiz II showed he isn't, errrr could be a little pressure, happened before when he was apparently all set for Wilder and then got dump by Ruiz. No idea what AJ's problem is today, he won't have that 80-90k crowd going crazy, he had no crowd at the weigh in so maybe he needs to hype himself up and create a buzz.
Some unconvincing fake hate going on there at the weigh in, cheers for that Eddie. Anyway hope AJ's got a strong stomach tomorrow night because he's got to finish a pudding that's 8 years past it's sell by date, if he's prepared properly shouldn't take him more than 6 rounds to clean his silver plate.
I agree on Pulev. For me he's not in pudding territory yet. If people want to use yardsticks, Pulev battered Hughie Fury far more convincingly than Povetkin did IMO. If Pulev stands off uses his jab and encourages Joshua to come forward he could make a fight of it. Seen the "beef" at the weigh-in there. Have to say that if it ever does kick off between the two camps I'd fancy Pulev's team to run all over Joshua's. Pulev has legit Bulgarian mobsters in his crew whereas Joshua has people like Skins aka Skins.
Pulev and his crew always try to kick things off at weigh-ins. Chisora's one was legendary. This content is protected Absolute shithouse there blindsiding Chisora with a plastic bottle, could have easily cut him and ruined the payday for both fighters.
Enjoyed that weigh-in. It’s a mandatory so the best we can hope for is if Pulev brings it and believes he can win. Nowt worse than an opponent like Martin turning up like a rabbit in the headlights looking to take a tumble the first time he gets chinned. If it’s done in 6 rounds let’s hope it’s a tasty 6 rounds.
Hughie Fury went into that fight with a badly damaged eye. Big fan of Peter Fury but i believe be should not have had Hughie in the ring that night.
Yeah fair point not the best example to use. Hughie’s eye was busted badly from round 2 onwards. Probably should have let the eye heal properly but I can understand why they couldn’t turn down the opportunity.
Sad to say, but it's true. The man is a raging menace and has to all intents gone utterly feral. Sources within the camp say that AJ used the wrong cutlery during the fish course, refused to pass the port correctly after dinner and yesterday morning there was a rumour that he'd not used a separate knife when getting jam for his toast.
I would have with his age, as time on his side. Bakole burst it in sparring. Peter Furys own words the eyelid was hanging off before fight, it was flapping about.
