Joshua vs Ruiz Predictions

Be surprised if Ruiz makes it to the 8th. Hopefully be a good fight until the inevitable.

Not impossible Ruiz pulls it off but can't see it.

 

Joshua stops him within 3.

 

I think it will go down like the Povetkin fight with Ruiz having some success early on but eventually getting caught. Not enough time to prepare.

 

Finish whenever Joshua wants it to end

 

AJ late stoppage

 

He could train for a year and I still can’t see him beating Joshua.

 

Ruiz will go for it and will leave himself wide open and get stopped in 4-5 rounds.

 

1st or 2nd ko for Joshua

 

Joshua KO in round 3,4 or 5.

 

AJ ko rounds 3 or 4

 

Ruiz is an exciting fighter, you can’t help but enjoy the fat lad fight. He doesn’t mess about, he will go in there and let his hands go with AJ but he is wide open for a big right hand. Nobody has been able to stop him but if Joshua can time that right hand, he could have himself a nice little showreel knockout. With having 9 months out the ring though, it will be interesting to see how quickly he can get his timing on point.

AJ, TKO 9-12

 

I think Joshua will win between rounds 6-8 after Ruiz having some good success early before Joshua times his distance and jab and takes control before breaking him down.

 

Ruiz takes first two rounds. Lands one or two overhand rights but nothing troublesome. AJ starts to find his range and dominate. Drops Ruiz once in the 4th round. Before the end of the 6th round it’s all over, ref stoppage.
