Wilder vs Joshua in Wilders backyard. Do you the fight would sell all the 100 000 tickets when it takes place in Bryant-Denny Stadium Tuscaloosa, Alabama?
Not sure of the appetite for the fight in the US but would definitely sell out Wembley stadium in UK.
Why should Joshua go to backwater Albama to fight windmill? There's more money behind Joshua, he's more proven, the a-side... Time for Wilder to travel.
When was the last time Wilder sold 100,000 tickets or even a fraction of that. Would be a huge financial risk for the promoter, basically praying that Joshua's name which isn't that well known in the US can excite US boxing fans enough to turn up in record numbers. Can't see it happening.
the washington fight in alabama / i read in a round by round there were lots of empty seats for the fight.
The only place this fight makes economic sense is in the UK, Wilder isn't a known commodity here. It would do good for Alabama and would certainly sell out because he's loved locally but it's an astronomical difference between selling out in Alabama and selling out in the UK.
Be a bit embarrassing for wilder and the American public if the fight takes place anywhere int th US and there's more Brits in the stadium than them. Not sure 100,000 Americans know who wilder is. Aj = aside.
Anybody asking why Eddie Hearn disagrees with you and shut AJ up about not having to go to the US? You think they are going to leave US money on the table? If you think that then you're not too smart. I suppose they have to figure out at what price is worth risking being knocked out for. If you want Wilder to clean out the division for AJ before this happens, ask nicely first.
