Sky Sports is airing Deontay Wilder "documentaries". Why would they do that if the fight wasn't gonna happen? This content is protected
The story so far? Lol its a pretty crap story tbh, if they tell the real story then i think it will turn fans off
It's a story of Wilder who fought tons of tomato cans, can't fill a 12k arena and gets $1 million purses. And then demands 50% from a guy who makes $25 million per fight. That's a story of a deluded individual.
I hope they mention the Nichols check jab and how Ortiz was almost hospitalized with high blood pressure before his last fight
they are trying to build it and a wilder documentry will do that/ make him a bit more known to the uk public remember wilder fights at 4 am in the morning in the uk and so is restricted to die hard fans joshua has crossed over and has tons of casual fans. makes sense to me / albeit i still think this fight should happen in the uk and not the usa. why would you give up home advantage ? its much harder fighting on the road in your opponents backyard .
I honestly think this was getting made this year anyway, Hearn was just waiting them out until they gave up on that 50-50 nonsense. But either way Wilders none stop jabberings about Joshua has got hooks in to all the right avenues to make sure the pressure comes from the UK as much as it has been coming from America. And Joshua hasnt even dealt with Parker yet, Wilder can shout and scream all he wants but until this Unification with Parker is completed nothing is going to be negotiated.
I'm 75% sure it will happen before the end of this year, UNLESS one of them loses before that can happen. I think there is a 60% chance or so there will be one more fight for each after the matchups this month. Both will probably fight a fairly good contender, someone like Brazaele or winner of Duhaupas/Miller or Whyte/Browne. I.E., fairly consensus top 7-12 guy. Probably both fighting in America to test the waters of a PPV unification bout for the end of the year. As long as they get through that, they will probably face each other by the end of the year one way or another.
