Anyone who thinks there is an answer better than the other isn't being honest with themselves. It's a guessing game but in the end Wilder is much more proven at the pro level (odd to say, but it's the truth). Based on that and simply not having enough film to judge Joshua off of, I have to go with Wilder.
I remember all that hype about Price, it's the same thing now, but brittards are on joshua's dick now.
Well, after getting knocked down, Wilder did win beat Sconiers, and Sconiers is the best............. I saw Camarelle beat Joshua in the amateurs for the gold a fight wich Camarelle deserved to win....................
I'd pick Joshua to beat Wilder right now. But he still has a lot to learn. Also, we don't know what his chin is like. This is really the real test for any heavyweight; guys like Mitchell and Price looked good too, until they got tagged. But so far, I'm quite impressed by Joshua. If managed properly, he should go far.
To early to tell, Joshua hasn't been hit yet or even troubled. Great prospect and looks to have it all. His technical downside at the moment is when he moves out, that chin is high in the air and this will need fixing prior to fighting a higher grade of opponent. His legs also look very thin for a heavy weight but this most likely stems from his amateur days when movement was key. I have no doubt that these two things will be fixing/worked on over the coming years. Wilder can bang, but can look clumsy, has fought a higher calibre of fighter to Joshua so far, but none that you would say caused him to many problems. If Joshua had been in the paid ranks as long as wilder, my money would be on Joshau
I would not bet on it. What has Wilder shown that Joshua hasn't? If you really think about it, what has Wilder shown us? I see no marked improvement from his early fights. His attempts to finish off shot Audley literally had me laughing. Now I agree that Joshua is still a total novice and has many things to work on, but physically he's at least a match for Wilder and neither man's chin has been tested yet. Records aside, this is certainly no mismatch. I'm not even remotely trolling when I say I think Joshua can beat Wilder right now.
I really like Anthony Joshua. And in the end, I think Joshua may be one of the greats, but he's had 3 fights. He's had 5 rds. He's fought guys that Owen Beck would look good against right now. Wilder, while a complete hypejob, a bum, a woman beating b!tch, does have a monster R hand. He does throw shots very fast and can leap in with a R hand or L hook and end it. Joshua hasnt had the rds or the sparring to time Wilder just yet. Give the kid some time before we go spouting off about he could beat Wilder. Wilder KO2 on Nov 14th 2013. This time next yr.......post the poll again, and I might change my vote.:think
Seriously, Joshua isn't ready yet for Wilder but it's a matter of time. He's too easy to hit atm and that would cost him against Windmiller. But I strongly believe that Joshua would be better after 15 or so fights.
Wilder. Joshua has shown nothing other than being another in a long line of hyped British Heavyweights that were failures.
Joshua is a hiding waiting to happen. Too much muscle up top absolutely zero in his legs. When he gets taken into later rounds he'll get slaughtered. I remember the same hype around David Price.
