Surely Fury v Usyk will happen next year though.

possibly, they'll pitch it as a 'rematch' based on their Olympic amateur fight.
that Nistor fella who beat him as an amateur is 6 and 0 and fighting in the UK soon in Brentwood
    This content is protected
, if he's signed to UK promoter or based here it would not surprise me if they wheel him out for another rematch angle.

I've been told that Joshua and Wilder will both have one more fight before the end of the year, and then face off in May / June of 2024 in Saudi Arabia. I think this makes the most sense. Wilder hasn't fought since last year with a one-round stoppage of Helenius. He has only beaten 1 fighter in almost 4 years!

As long as Joshua and Wilder get it on early next year, I have no problem with them having another fight in the meantime. Would be great to see Joshua fighting 3 times this year - 3 times in over 8 months, making him the most active top-level heavyweight.

I think the Saudis might want to do Usyk against Fury and Joshua against Wilder on the same night still. Since Usyk will have to face Hrgovic after he beats Dubois, that means this event would be delayed. Let's see what happens.

Joshua has never ducked anyone and would happily get in the ring with Wilder tomorrow night. I'm here for it.

Since Aug 21st 2022 he's fought Franklin & Helenius. Let's really hope it's Wilder next as it's the one that's been promised and the one that everyone is looking forward to most

Anthony 'Ali' Joshua has certainly cemented his place on your wall then.

I have never known a fight to be a done deal for so long but for it not to get announced.

it won’t happen, dazn and matchroom don’t want it to happen because it ends with Joshua flat on his back. They want to milk the cow a few more times whilst there is still some value there.

I expect the cash out to be against fury in 12-18 months time.

It's on Saudi Arabia. They haven't delivered contracts to Joshua or Wilder yet. With the delay, it would make sense for Joshua and Wilder to fight before the end of the year.
To be fair Helenius was a last-minute replacement. I think if Joshua fights in December it would be on PPV so they will bring in a PPV-worthy opponent. If it's someone like Franklin or Helenius and not on PPV, then I have no complaints at all. DAZ|N subscribers in the UK have received very good value for having Joshua fight twice as part of their subscription.

If Joshua and Wilder don't fight next, the likelihood is that it will be because of Saudi Arabia. They still haven't sent contracts to Joshua or Wilder. Fury would have not defended his title during the whole year with his last fight being against Derek Chisora! Since Fury holds the World Title belt, we should be focussing on him rather than Joshua or Wilder rebuilding their confidence and waiting on Saudi Arabia to deliver fights for them.

Apart from Usyk, Joshua has never faced anyone decent under 40 Jim

It's August - the fight can be done this year if people will do the right deal. It seems to me the sticking point is "the right deal".

Saudi do tend to get things done so I am skeptical if the fight doesn't get made. However, it does seem like they are taking their time with things. Joshua fought two weeks ago and still no contracts have been sent. Maybe they want to have another fight before Wilder. I doubt the Saudis want Joshua or WIlder to fight again before fighting each other as it was well-known that the Saudis and Hearn were against Joshua fighting Whyte in August.

I think the Saudis want to do the heavyweight double-header. If Joshua vs WIlder headlines on its own, maybe they want more money than was originally proposed?

Fat plodder balance of a drunkard ped abuser Whyte was apparently a ppv worthy opponent, although admittedly he was for Fury too.
